He was a bumbling idiot when he started off cool and collected. It didn't last long.

Very true. When the debate 1st started I was like, "this isn't the Trump I know". So calm, so cool...I thought wow, they've really coached him to be "presidential". Didn't last long at all. His interruptions were like nothing we've seen before on any debate and oddly enough that will excite some voters.

There is without question an America that is sick and tired of "politics" and the status quo. Look where we are from all of that people say...companies leaving our country, the rise of terrorism, and race relations at their worst in years. It is really a tough situation today to say let's keep the same going on.

Just about any decent opposition could have had a field day with the state of America right now. How Donald Trump became that voice can only speak to the fact that there is a large part of 'merica that doesn't really care who is offering change or how potentially dangerous some of those changes could wind up to be.

Weirdest election ever.

There a lot of stupid people out there. I'm reading on people fb pages about how Trump killed her. She had nothing to say. He had better composure than her.

I feel bad for them. They probably don't believe fact checking either. Alternate reality.

So as usual, Hillary supporters say she won. Trump supporters say he won.

Trump came across as brash. Hillary came across as patient, but in a weird way with an odd smile.

Ultimately, the news stories will tell us how Hillary won the first debate, and that Lester Holt was incredible as a moderator, who kept Trump in line. They'll say that Trump was a liar, and Hillary came across as presidential and strong.

And I've said it before and I'll say it again - Trump will NOT win this election.

Conway said Trump showed great restraint. I can't stand her either. She's up there with Rudy. I don't quite hate her. I truly hate him.

So the news will be reporting the facts then?

Oh and I still am stunned Hillary came this close to just straight up calling Trump a racist. I'm impressed she went there. There was no way Trump could win an argument about race against a Democrat, despite Trump doing his best to deflect with the "super-predators" quote.

Its very true that everyone is sick of how our political system and it does suck. I see Trump as more of that. Look at him brag about gaming the system and not paying taxes, that's the type of manipulations we hate politicians for doing. Or when he bragged about donating/paying people for favors, more things politicians do just in the opposite direction. Or the way he's used his charity for buying a 6 f***ing foot self-portrait for 20k, just like political misappropriations.

We need a change, I just don't see how people look past the actual actions and think off-brand Goldmember is going to bring about that change, Trumps history says he's the same as the politicians we already hate.

The good thing at least maybe next time people will start looking at the candidates closer and keep their mind open to more options. This however, needs to start at local levels its not just a high level political problem.

So what I don't get is why we're putting so much stock into the Donald saying he was for the war just because it was his own words and his own voice and you can hear the effing audio yourself. Did you not hear him say that you can call Hannity and he'll tell you Trump was anti-war? I mean, it's not like Hannity is biased or anything, other than that whole "you work for the official propaganda arm of the GOP and even they think you went over the line appearing in a Trump commercial" aspect, of course.

I think the line that's going to come back to haunt Trump is the bit where Hillary said he wasn't paying anything in Federal Taxes, and he came back with "that's smart." Really hard to justify needing a tax cut when you pay less in taxes than your employees do.

Let's not blame the media. People voted this guy to be on that stage to do the same schtick he's been doing since last summer.

If the last year has proven anything, it's that nothing Trump says actually trips him up. Pointing out his foibles just makes him more popular. That's what is so odd to me about his candidacy.

True. But I kind of think that if there actually are a large number of undecideds, I'd have to imagine that this is the type of thing that would definitely be a bad look for him. Of course, I just used the word think, which is a major no-no in modern politics apparently.

There is a sales tactic where lowering yourself in-front of a potential candidate can get you favor with them. I wonder if some of that is going on. Even if it makes more sense to have the best and brightest in these political positions the common person may just want some one really like them but maybe slightly worse. Like watching Jerry Springer, it makes you feel better about yourself.
