I think overall that was the best presser of the ones we've seen, only part I didn't like was the dancing crap but that's so popular it's still being made for 360/ps3 so I guess I can't complain lol.
So is Splinter Cell dead? Last game was 2013 and not a peep since.

I'm glad Ubisoft decided to continue Beyond good and evil. I would have loved a release date or release window though. Seems like it still might be a ways away.
I was excited until I realized it is looking like a concept CG render. Everything about it screamed- "We are about to make this! Be happy!" I am happy-ish. Would have been happier if they actually had something to show. This game is a loooooong way off, methinks...
Over-all, the conference was a bit ponderous, but there were a couple highlights. The Ass Creed demo afterward was better, imo. I will likely get AC.
Don't care about the Crew 2 or the Rabids game (makin' Mario a cover shooter :/).
Far Cry looks Pretty sweet.
I disliked hearing what sounded like the exact same pirate shanty recordings from Black Flag. I loved the Ship stuff in that game, but making a whole game around it is not interesting to me. Seems like it could get pretty old without the exploration to mix things up. They made a whole game out of a third of another, older game. Graphics were nice though.
Man, I can't remember anything else... That's not good... Ugh, oh yeah, that dance game.....
Yeah the MS event s*** all over this. 42 games virtually non stop. Far Cry 5 looks pretty cool and I'm happy about BGaE2 but like you say, all CGI and I too get the impression it won't be in our hands any time soon. For all the stick some gamers have give the MS event, it's by far the best so far for game announcements. I expect Sony will have a great show as usual with a slew of new AAA exclusives, at least I hope so anyway.
I think it's all about expectations. No one in their right mind expects Ubisoft to compete with Microsoft on the E3 stage. Microsoft absolutely dwarfs Ubisoft.
Well imo MS showing off 42 games did dwarf the Ubisoft show. There has been comments in this thread saying the UBI show was the best so far which is preposterous when you compare them both and really just shows the bias coming through. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the MS show was brilliant, it wasn't. They definitely needed to show off at least a couple of great looking new AAA exclusives to be able to say that but to say the UBI show was better is total bollox.

I think MS was better but its not really a fair comparison and obviously the standards are different.
MS hurt their reputation with that conference.
Ubisoft raised their reputation with theirs.
I think that's what people are talking about when they say Ubisoft had the better conference.
That's a fair comment as far as maybe reputation goes but I'm not sure that is what people meant by stating best show.
I like to consider myself a rational person who can't stand when people are controlled by bias. Of course, I am controlled by bias, but I am hyper sensative to that force. With that being said, I can totally see how a rational gamer would call Ubis conference the best while also recognizing that Microsofts conference was better on an entirely different level. I certainly don't think either opinion makes the person speaking it a blind fanboy.
