Ubisoft At E3 2017

I can't get excited about BG&E until we see game play.

They show a CGI trailer for the sequel years ago and nothing came of it.

French people are weird. Too many tears games that haven't proven anything yet.

Far Cry 5 is going to be fun though!
BGE was a unique game but this new one seems to be trying to hard. We'll see.

I'm really curious what theyre going to do with the gameplay of Beyond Good and Evil 2. They really could take it in any direction, as long as they keep the ethos and heart in there, along with a political commentary.

The video clip made me want to know more.

Far Cry 5 looked great. I pretty much ignored it up until last night...and it is coop too.

Beyond Good & Evil looked really great from a design and concept perspective, but those characters seem like they would get annoying really quickly. Still, hard to judge with no gameplay.

Mario+Rabbids: Am I the only one who thought it looked good? It is weird mix too being open world adventure with turn based strategy battlefield areas.

You're not alone. I thought it looked like a mix of Mario, Rabbids and Xcom. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.

I'll await judgement until after Nintendo but right now I'd probably put this as my favorite conference which is really surprising to me since I don't usually care much for Ubisoft games lately.

That was the first Mario game I've seen in I don't know how long that I'd actually want to play if I had a Nintendo console.

Not having Tyler really helped it

I like her but I think this format worked better, letting the creators just come out and talk instead of having to have a host worked. They had the right balance during their presentation of people talking and actually showing new things as well. I also liked that some of the people actually showed emotion, that guy holding back tears for his Mario game and the two behind BG&E2 getting emotional put a personal touch on the projects.

BG&E2 was described by Ancel as being at "day zero of development."

This one is a long ways off, folks.

That's what I thought, and why I cant muster much excitement. It hurts my head how long that teaser would take to make along with how much it cost. I'd much rather them use that time and money on the GAME, and then show us a snippet of that.

Instead, they had a weird cry moment for what amounts to a very expensive green light. Meh.

For some reason, I thought we were watching a cutscene from the actual game. I thought to myself, "Wow, looks like it is well underway; it's coming along nicely." Now, it turns out they haven't even begun. All they've done is get to the point where "now we know we are really going to make the game." Yay?

Maybe I missed the part where they said we haven't actually begun working on the game, and this is just a proof of concept demo of what we think the actual game might look like, if we were to work on it for the next 3 years. I feel a bit suckered, like they misrepresented things on stage. At least he has clarified things in subsequent interviews -- that they are at "day zero."

"Thank you, Yves. I love you, Yves." *sniff*

Just hurry up and make the game, you silly French person.

Reactions: Frozpot
Reactions from the behind closed doors tech demo for BG&E2 aren't that positive.

Guy from IGN actually asked what the hell are they doing to which the makers said "this is the only way this game was happening"

I don't get it. What does he mean by that? That's a strong reaction to an infant game.

Basically it's nothing like the first. Sounds like it's going to be no man's sky like but with just 3 areas

Well... I'm surprised that SouthPark wasn't shown at the Nintendo show for some reason...

Not really safe for work...

Impressive engine. Reminds me of the pupil to planet demo ftom Star Citizen. Definitely keeping an eye on this.
