I hope Phil keeps getting pressured until next E3.

I disagree. I think hes referencing it in the sense that XBOS and PS4 are old and of a particular generation. PS4 pro is that old generation at a higher res...yet not even a real res.
There were 3 or 4 games at E3 i saw that i can honestly say look a hardware iteration better then PS4/1S and neither of those has a hope in hell of matching those visuals even of they spent 10 years on development.
I also say this knowing those games will also be on both, just in a vastly inferior manor.
Microsoft can easily let the XBOX replace the One S as its follow up main console as it grows cheaper.
Sony will definitly have to release a PS5.
I wonder if one of those signed games is Playground's non racing IP?

It's not a surprise, given that during development even loading a map in their level editor was a process that required eight hours.

It could be, but they have only just started that game and it is open world, so a 4 year dev cycle is likely.
Halo and Gears are their epic single player games.
I'm curious (not really) as to why this is a huge issue and the lack of a decent racer or FPS on PS4 is not?

Because they want to announce games that are coming out before next E3. After all, at next E3 you can't very well announce games that have already been released. (*)

Because it was designed to be so. You can't have X1X running in 60FPS and the X1 version running 30FPS. You could do that in something like Tombraider.
Player advantage online? But it works like that on PC.
Incorrect. You can have 2 different framerate because PC lived with that for many years. Its just an excuse.
You can, but now go ask those with lower frames if it was fun. I can tell you right that playing games like Battlefield 2 with half the FPS as others is not fun.
Games like Destiny need to be even for all on Xbox platform. Same as all online games need to be even.
Your example, Crack down 3, is a whole city with far draw distances and tracking population AIs and enemy AIs vs Destiny 2 which has very empty environments that go only a few blocks which only a few AIs that pop up when you get close enough.
Destiny 2 should run at 60fps. Why do you keep doing this to yourself?

That rumour was started by someone who - we now know - had no inside knowledge.
Example
When battlegrounds is released eventually on PS4 you get to play the same game without missing content.
When I paid 60 dollars for Destiny a few years ago I had less content then PS4 owners who paid the same price. There is a huge difference. Especially when your not garunteed the content depending on how the game and studio are financially after release.
Imagine if that happened with Mass Effect. They pretty much stopped working on the game after the s*** show post launch.
It's a HUGE difference IMO.
