You didn't misrepresent anything to me. You made a few comments on things in the beta that you haven't played at all for yourself. Did I get that wrong? Because I don't believe I did.

Yep, you got me. I never played the game at all. Not one bit. You caught me.

Could you actually tell me what I said that pi$$ed off an elite player like you? I'd love to apologize for whatever it was.

I'm being 100% serious when I ask. I have no clue what the he11 has you and menace so worked up and I'd like to avoid it in the future.

You have been told 10 times already. Yet you still persist.

So the "boring" thing? If so I honestly take that back. I do apologize if my words don't accurately reflect what I mean.

What I meant was that the beta of a loot game is unexciting for me, especially considering so much will change. Nothing against the beta, I would never be big into any kind of beta for a game like this. I am happy that the few casual observations I made as a casual casually playing in a casual way seem to have been addressed by Bungie.

What the f*** is that comment about? You getting a sore there, Mary? I'm not pissed off, nor am I an 'elite player'. I'm pretty sure I said I don't care if you decided to download beta and not play it. What I said , more than once as well, that i don't understand logic. And I still don't.

I'm not worked about anything. You're the one getting your panties in a bunch here.

D3 is boring. My friend who I haven't met yet told me so in a dream. But I will pre-order cause future and stuff.

I downloaded the D3 beta but I never played it. Therefore I need to offer my opinions of it online!!

I would, but I still don't have a PS4 and besides, I reflexively hate Sony exclusives.

You mean the observations others made. You didn't play it, therefor you didn't observe anything. You even said that yourself in a less direct way.

Quick clip from Deej talking about guided games. Not a lot of info, but sounds like it is going to be sort of a "looking for more" thing although they kind of bring up the sherpa thing and of course don't really explain how this is going to work (like what if you happen to be solo but know what you are doing)

Short clip here

Full clip here.

it is in simple terms a restrictive LFG. Nothing more.

I will never use it. I'll just use a proper LFG.

That's because you are a extremely brave soul. I envy your courage, you are like a Sherpa on a mountain of space magic and light. :)

Not really. LFGs work. You can find groups for all content, not just basic levels of end game content. Not too mention that clans tend to be the worst of the worst in my experience.

Maybe it is different between platforms, but the PS experience finding people is completely different (remember too, only Xbox has those nice build in LFG features in the console). On PS, you can only invite someone to a game if they are in a chat group with you or on your friends list (nobody knows about the chat groups, so everyone who wants to play with you one time adds you to their friends list)

Getting into a clan is the best way to meet people in my experience. Of course the problem is finding one where people play at the same time as you. Still, the jerks and trolls get booted pretty quickly so you get some base level of decent gamers. As long as you avoid the clans that automatically take anyone, at least one person has played with everyone and at least had a decent experience.

Hopefully guided games will help some of us fill in the gaps for these larger groups.

All those who get booted out of clans end up on a 3rd party LFG sites. Going to those is like the Cantina scene in Star Wars.

I don't want to turn this into console warz, but I'm guessing there is a difference in the platforms and the average person you come across.

And yet people across all platforms get s*** done with LFG. What have you done in Destiny via clans? We know you haven't done a raid. I have done via LFG multiple raids on heroic. I have helped folk get Black Spindle, Exotic Swords( not ROI), Sleeper(you have any of these), done nightfall, 390 challenge of elders, Trials of Osiris. Have you done any of that?

I have had better experiences with LFGs than clans, so if LFGs are the clan rejects then thank christ for toxic clans.

Ok, so I am not sure if I am on crack, but I am pretty sure something felt different with the controls. But maybe not. So here is my experience:

  • Destiny 1, played on Xbox One with Standard Xbox One controller, 50 hours
  • Destiny 2 beta, played on PS Pro with newest DS4 controller, not sure how long
  • Destiny 1, decided to fire the game up (on my Xbox One S using the Xbox Elite controller) again after playing the Destiny 2 beta on the PS Pro.
The experience of the Destiny 2 beta on the PS Pro, the controls felt better and tighter. So the question is, am I on crack? Or are Destiny 2 controls improved? Or does the PlayStation version of Destiny control different? Or are the DS4 controls tighter/better than the Xbox One Elite controller.

I know that when I launched up Destiny 1 last night after adding the Taken King DLC, that I could barely control my character at first, as I was moving my weapon all over the damn place. I didn't feel that in the D2 beta.

Thoughts? Because if the game controls better on the PS Pro, I would get it for that instead of X1X. Ugh.

(I never got to play the D2 beta on the Xbox One).

If you look back through the thread I actually said the same thing. So it isn't a platform or controller thing.

Nope, I thought it controlled much better as well. The handling just seemed improved even it was hard to identify exactly what it was. I know overall they have slowed the game down a little from D1 so that probably added to it.

I've been in a few good PC clans. The problem has always been time and my schedule, not people.

I use LFG to get through the Nightfall and that is a nightmare. The problem I see is LFG is like a dating website. Everyone lies :)

"Done all raids on hard mode dozens of times" -> translation - My light level is 50 points lower than the min and you'll need to carry my butt. Oh and I have no mic because nobody uses the earbud that comes by default, and nobody spends $20 to get a bare bones one on PS.

Again I think our experience differs by platform. I'd love to see some stats on the different platforms, but all I have is my anecdotal experience on both.

I've had more good experiences using LFG than bad. But in-game matchmaking would be a faster more convenient way to group up over using a third-party app.

I'm still not sure if I'll get D2 on launch, wait to see how the XboxX version turns out or ignore this game all together. My main problem is I got so addicted to D1 that I ignored too many other games. And this fall I want the new Star Wars game, Shadow of War and some other titles I don't want to miss. Ehhhh, still have a few months to decide.

Tried some Player vs. Player last night in Destiny 1. Not a fan. I realize that the campaign and strikes are the only thing that interest me in this game.

I have read via Reddit and Bungie.net that there lots of complaints about non-mic users on PS4. But there is nothing any developer can do about a platform community. XBL (in my opinion) has always been the better multiplayer platform anyway.
