What's sad about that is it paints it as OP and echos alot of the crying over it, but IMO the Mida isn't the best Scout Rifle for PvE or PvP.

PvE - Nameless Midnight is far superior IMO.
PvP - Does Not Compute is better IMO

My Top 5 Legendaries, in no order..

Nameless Midnight - PvE
Does Not Compute - PvP
Uriel's Gift - PvP & PvE ( I only use for PvP, though)
Shock & Awe - PvE
Mida Mini Tool - PvE

Yep, people confuse overused with overpowered. The mida is good and super simple to get. I don't even have any good legendary scouts yet so of course I use it. The meta seems real scout heavy anyway.

Hopefully the community isn't constantly screaming nerf. I know reddit is pretty much anti-nerf at this point. They learned from D1 to be careful what you ask for.

But like you say, it is only caue people are using scouts. Guns like Vig wing, Last Perddition, Origin Story are all viable weapons too.

RNG hasn't blessed me with any of those yet :(

All I get is duplicate swords. Mida is the easiest quest to get so everyone has one.

Slowing down the movement in PVP is making more impact on the guns. The time to kill doesn't actually seem any different. People just can't rush you from anywhere now, so primaries are deadly again.

Uriels gift makes me look good in pvp, so you know it is a solid gun :)

The Vigilance Wing is far superior to the Mida in PvP but people aren't crying out it because not many people have it.

Yeah, thats pretty much it. The Mida is the first exotic gun most people get and its also a very good scout rifle. It's not OP at all. It just that every one has it. Honestly, the Nameless Midnight is better in PvP. It will kill on three shots and the Mida kills on 4 shots.

Not to mention that the explosive rounds mean no damage drop off.

That douche Zavala refuses to give me that scout rifle! It's been my most wanted weapon for some time now, I never get it.

I've one per character. And have broken down a couple at this stage as well. It's those Nightstalker exotic boots that I just can't seem to get.

I buy Merciless last week and within 1 day get 3 duplicates.

Xur never fails... buy something from him on Friday and you're guaranteed for it to drop over the weekend.

The amount of exotic dups is sort of frustrating. It is one thing later in the game when it is just bad luck, but right now I have almost nothing and still get dups. I got a Coldheart with my first engram which was the only exotic I had other than the Graviton from the campaign.

So Bungie detailed Faction Rally yesterday and to be honest it sounds pretty lame. It is basically a passive event where the faction with the most rep after a week wins. Upon a winner being declared it will unlock a "powerful" weapon from that faction for everybody for 50K glimmer. Those who pledged to the winning faction get it for 1K glimmer.

The "powerful" weapons are just bog standard faction weapons and these events just seem like a way to gate the already lacking weapon quantity.

Each faction has a measly 4 weapons and 1 armour set per class.

No mention of exotic quests

Coldheart isn't available as a drop in game until December.

That's what I had thought, but I definitely got one from a drop. I got one from my preorder, then got one from an engram. Not sure if it unlocked because it knew I had it. Other people had the same thing happen. It was weird and frustrating.

Speaking of exotics, Xur is selling the Wardcliff Coil rocket. Anyone have it? Any good? I'll probably get it just because getting shards doesn't seem very hard. I'm sure if I buy it I'll get a dup that same day but if I don't RNG will haunt me forever and that will be the last exotic I end up needing some day :(

I had the opposite happen. I got an exotic engram right before heading to bed last night, got the Titan gauntlets that Xur is selling a few hours later. Woo.

They suck pretty hard based on the the brief testing I've given them. Oh wellz.

I bought it this morning. Only tried it briefly and didn't love it. I then watched 3 Xur videos in a row while getting ready for work that were all gushing about it. I definitely think I wasn't using it in the right situations, sounds like it excels against trash mobs, lower tier bosses, clearing rooms, etc. Looking forward to giving it another shot tonight.

I'll probably grab it for the heck of it. Unless a rocket is doing major damage against big bosses though it seems sort of useless.

Maybe it is good in PVP?

Of course too I get no drops for legendary rockets so far either. I think I have one and it is not very good.

It does big damage to everything but only if all your projectiles hit, which isn't easy. It seems like hitting with all projectiles gives you a damage multiplier because damage done with all but 1 projectile seems far less than it should.

So, I am already starting to play the game less and less. The loot quantity and static rolls are longevity killers.

Its good and worth getting but like menace said all shots hitting helps.

Yeah I ended up buying it, why not? Shards aren't that hard to get anyway. Early on in D1 coins were a pain to get, but now it doesn't really matter.

Of course I buy the exotic rocket from Xur and right then a public event starts right nearby and boom, exotic power weapon engram! Oh no! You have to be kidding me??? No worries though, it was the DARCI sniper which I did not have yet. :)

One serious question, what is Ikora's 5 challenges milestone? I assume they are the planetary things that pop up (collect 10 whatevers, loot chests, lost secotrs, etc). However I did all of them for one planet and Cayde gave me something but nothing from Ikora and that is just gone?

Just looking for low hanging fruit for easy leveling.

Had some more time with the game and am liking it a lot more as I play. I didn't fully understand the leveling system at first and had some bad info. I thought blues capped at 260 or 265, but they don't, they drop higher based on your power level without mods (which is confusing as all heck until I read this)

My only problem now is I'm stuck at "forever 279". I need legendary mods to get higher, but I need to get to 280 to get those mods. :smash:

Next week's reset should get me there though.

I'm enjoying the PVP a lot more this time around. The meta isn't perfect and can be a little campy/standoff-ish, but there's still strategy to it. I'm running into teams that have 2 people sort of scout camping while the other 2 flank. You see distant hits on your radar in front, then all of a sudden hits behind and they have you. I started doing it to other teams and it is a lot of fun.

Also the Nameless Midnight is a beast. Anyone complaining about Mida hasn't unlocked this yet. Actually the weapon balance feels fine. Scouts rule not because they are overpowered, but just because range is king right now.

Right now, really just playing the milestones to get higher light. Not really sure what the end result is for this. Although, I'm in a clan, it's still difficult to coordinate time for everyone. Other than that, I guess I'll start playing this more casually. I don't want it to feel like work.

The funny thing is that it took 2 months for me to hit the wall in Destiny 1. This took me a month. It seems there's less loot to discover. Most gear repeats with higher light.

I did start my Hunter. Again, playing this casually and will probably start on Cuphead this week. Playing Divinity 2 with a friend on PC.

Although it sounds like griping, I still want to play more of Destiny; especially with others.
