Holy mother of Francis.....I totes forgot about the Xbox Play Anywhere stuff. So I am currently downloading Cuphead and Gears4 onto my gaming PC (which I built and never used for gaming)......I'm back in the room baby!

Throw Phil Spencer in jail. I’m going to guess you don’t hold other companies marketing to the same standard as MS. And if you really think you are right then organize a class action lawsuit. I'm worried about that too.. (not overheating ) . Let's hope the liquid cooling solution that Microsoft is using that's similar to what High end GPU's use to help with such a small case .
They are using a scaled down version of a vapor chamber to help with cooling. It should get the job done.

Current gen games can be upgraded to true 4K. The system is designed for 4K rendering. That's the no compromise part.
BUT, Phil said that they don't require 4K. Game development choices should be left with the game developers and not given a decree from on high.

If you take a game made for XBOX ONE/PS4 and run it on XBOX ONE X, it will run at true 4K. The machine is designed to do it and then some.
If the developers choose to enhance the graphics above that level, it can handle all those to a point like you see on a PC gaming rig. But the more you pile on that can challenge the target frame rate. The frame rate could see dips.
If a developer loves all their enhancements and optimizations aren't fixing the frame rate dips, they have the option to render sub 4K. It's on their shoulders what they want to do.

I can understand where Yungstar is coming from cause I know I was disappointed to see some games wont be in 4K, but that having been said its still the most powerful console out and you can take it or leave it.
