I'm sorry but I find this disturbing. Your sister is dead and you are thinking about being on the front lines of opposing Trump within your family ranks? One of your sister's reasons for extended her life was the hope of seeing a new person in office?!?! Had I lost my brother during Obama or Clinton or anyone I wouldn't even THINK about his political views or feel them worth mentioning in the chasm of my loss.

Unlike you, there are political activists that aren't coward keyboard warriors. She went to D.C. in her teens to march for equal rights for women. Her political activism carried on until the day she passed. She ran collection drives for years for the homeless for clothes, jackets, and goods. She cooked for the less fortunate during the holidays. She dedicated time when asked if she could bring her dog to countless children's reading gatherings because her dog was a comfort to the children who attended because many of the kids had Down's Syndrome. She also did the same for children in the hospital on multiple occasions. Before trump took office, before she was diagnosed, she was an activist for health care reform. One of her biggest focuses for equal coverage for people who had a "pre-exisitng condition." She wanted women who became pregnant to be first, given coverage, and second, to be given coverage at the same rate as everyone else. After she was diagnosed, it meant even more to her.
I can go on, but you're not worth it and you're not capable of understanding it. My sister did more political activism, more for her community and society as a whole, more for the less fortunate, more for animals in her final year than you will do your entire life. I could have just wrote, 'Go f*** yourself you piece of s***,' but you would have just thought 'I got that stupid libtard.' I think Spiritech covered that perfectly already.

The way they justify this is that no matter what - defeating the "liberals" is the most important thing. Why don't they fear Russian influence? They do, but they fear the "liberals" more. Anyone who's not on board the alt right train is the biggest and most direct threat to their system of government.
They think civil war is coming. Sure, that sucks about bees, but what can you do? The liberals must be stopped. Otherwise we're going to cancel Christmas and make everyone get gay married.

The world news section of Reuters is scary right now. Famine in Europe due to warm summers. Farmland dwindling in Iraq due to lack of fresh water. A possible assassination attempt in Venezuela. Protests in Iran. Countless other stories that never make the mainstream news.
I'm an admitted isolationist when it comes to foreign policy but even I know that we need a strong, united America to face it. The world is going to hell. Although to be honest sometimes I'm not sure if America is the last holdout against it, or at the leading edge of the insanity.

I don't know if we can just keep smashing regimes and that get replaced by even more evil people when we create a power vacuum? Then we just keep having annual invasions? Or just install a puppet regime that oddly enough screws the populace because they start serving American Corporate interests like Halliburton? Basically, can we help countries without turning them into a virtual Colony?
I suppose we can still intervene in a cases of truly outrageaus violence by regimes or try to hit them financially. Trying to arm and train the opposition sounds good but has iffy results especially if another country sympathetic to the regimes gets involved and you have a proxy arms race.
There are sensible things we can do just as a world leadership role such as Clean Energy. It can reduce effects on climate and hopefully the science can make energy more accessible. What if through technology, we can tackle the old problem of Scarcity which is the root of some many conflicts? The game changer would be if we could have solar powered mini-factories / hydroponics. Kind of 'Industry In A Box' that could be installed in places to support small villages or supplement them at least so it's not a feast or famine situation or pull moisture from the air for water.
Even with this, people might still find reasons to hack each other to death over Religion, Ideology, or simple Tribalism.
It’s annoying and then his base around me try to have an argument against sports and their athletes now like they know what the hell they are talking about. It amazes me how they hate on these people for no reason. No one is forcing them to watch sports, move along.
