Overall we had 8 years of relatively little drama. When bad things happened, Obama's voice was a calming one, not one fanning the flames. I tuned out of politics because I knew the guy in charge wasn't a total nutjob who could say or do anything at any moment.

boy we sure took that for granted.

What a shock.....

Also the clown is saying you need a picture ID to buy groceries, who told him that? it's not true, clearly he hasn't picked up his own groceries in decades if ever.

I was going to reply last night but I didn't have my ID on me.

Time for them to get caught "helping" Democrats

Which dumb dumbs will think makes Trump look innocent.
Yep. He's already said the Russians will help them, so now if the blue wave does happen he can just say it was all because of the Russians helping and claim the election was rigged, blah blah blah.

To Nix Obama Fuel Standard, WH Argues That Better Gas Mileage Is Dangerous

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration says people would drive more and be exposed to increased risk if their cars get better gas mileage, an argument intended to justify freezing Obama-era toughening of fuel standards.

Overall, “improvements over time have better longer-term effects simply by not alienating consumers, as compared to great leaps forward” in fuel efficiency and other technology, the administration argues. It contends that freezing the mileage requirements at 2020 levels would save up to 1,000 lives per year.

New vehicles would be cheaper — and heavier — if they don’t have to meet more stringent fuel requirements and more people would buy them, the draft says, and that would put more drivers in safer, newer vehicles that pollute less.

This administration is run by f***ing idiots.

Yes, they are onto us and our Democratic cabal that secretly runs everything (but unfortunately can't seem to win any elections).

These people are scary. They don't have their own opinion, they have their own alternative facts. If the Orange One says the sky isn't blue, they not only believe it but attack anyone who challenges their BS.

If they want to see the "deep state"? They should look at who they elected and who those people put in charge.

I can't make sense of the statement from the administration...
While personally I'd like to continue moving towards better gas mileage with an ultimate goal of moving away from gas cars, I can see that having policies that say we need 50mpg or whatever standard in x years can be over the top. But this reasoning for not having better mileage is just hilariously dumb.

Also, it looks like Mueller is the real swamp drainer. Collateral damage from the Manafort trial has a few Dems in the crosshairs as well. Lock em all up.

Mueller’s Digging Exposes Culture of Foreign Lobbying and Its Big Paydays

In addition to the investigations of Mr. Manafort and Mr. Gates, who pleaded guilty in February to numerous financial crimes and became a cooperating witness in the special counsel investigation, Mr. Mueller’s team pursued three other investigations into lawyers and lobbyists who did work in Ukraine.

The cases involve Gregory B. Craig, who served as the White House counsel under President Barack Obama before leaving to work for the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom; Tony Podesta, an influential Washington lobbyist whose brother, John D. Podesta, was chairman of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign; and former Representative Vin Weber, Republican of Minnesota, who joined the lobbying firm Mercury Public Affairs after leaving Congress.

Good, the system is so bad now. People just sort of ignore how bad it has become. We need to get all this dirty money out of the system on both sides.

We need to eliminate PACs completely. Basically, you can register a phony organization with a PO Box and basically funnel money to candidates anonymously. We also need to put caps on donations from legit organizations.

I sort of laugh when people talk about "pay to play" is if that's not exactly how it works? I mean try and get to talk to our local rep in congress? Now write a check to their campaign with a few zeros and try again. Pay to play is exactly how the system works.

Yet another reason why the idea of a border wall is stupid.

Drain the swamp (so you can sell off the land to the highest bidder) :

With the passing of my sister, I’m the lone vocal trump opposition in the family now. My mom is a little, but my sister and I were the front lines. I have to make sure I continue to carry the torch. She said she wanted to live long enough to see a new person in office dammit.
