Btw, Sony is killin’ it with these exclusive got damn. I expected this to be good. But not this good.

That first level was no joke. Combat flows really nice once you get the hang of it.

Played about 4 hours as I got the game early like God Of War (god bless shopto) and it's amazing. Visuals on the base PS4 are amazing, the animation is incredible, the combat is incredibly fun,intuitive and an absolute blast. The story so far is very well done and there is definitely Uncharted inspiration whilst playing as Peter and MJ with how close the camera is and how they animate; feels like a ND game at that point. The open world is amazing! I found my hotel we stayed at in New York lol. It's so dense and full of live and the organic way crimes unfold just adds to the liveliness.

Nope I have died quite a few times already! This game can be unforgiving if you do not time your dodges or use the right combat manoeuvres. The brutes are especially tough.

I Redboxed for that 3 nights for $7 deal, gonna try and beat it in that time or maybe extend a little further. Gonna start now lol

Also, just realised the game came out today. JB Hi-fi released the game on the 5th here in Melbourne.
 
Game is pretty good so far. I like that there is an actually story to this, and I really like the humor. I loved when Spider-Man was asked what he was up to, he said he was watching a Tomb Raider movie :)

The "Dodge" is the best move so far. I love how I can go under the enemies legs, nail him on the back side, the go under his legs again as he turns around and hit him on the back side yet again. It never gets old. The controls are VERY forgiving. As long as you are in the general direction for moves, webs, climbing, etc. they will put you there. It's literally not frustrating at all. There are a lot of combos to memorize, which I am not good at, so I do a bunch of button mashing right now...maybe 50% of the time I am button mashing, the other 50% I am doing the actual controls.

It is hard at some points, but I needed to remember to use the R2 to shoot my web and fly away from danger when I am getting pummeled. Also, remember to press down on the D pad on occasion to replenish your health (the more you "focus", the more health you can replenish).

Graphics are good. Nothing mind blowing. However, the framerate is SOLID. I would have NO IDEA that this was only 30fps. It feels like 60fps, as it is so fluid, no stutter.

And now the bad part. I was in the middle of a boss fight and my stupid f***ING DUMB ASS PS4 controller battery dies. Seriously Sony, you have the stupidest battery setup ever. Of course, it is 5 in the morning today when I was playing, and my son is up in his room sleeping....and I am pretty sure the f***ing charging cable is in his room connected to his PC. So I left the game with the Spider-Man controller battery low screen with 50% health left of my Spider-Man getting attacked by fat ass......

Great game though! :)
 
Stupid question. How do you actually take the picture in Photo Mode and view them?

If it is like anything else, you switch to Photo Mode, use the share button the controller. Photo Mode allows you to make adjustments, remove UI, etc. but you still use the normal screenshot share feature on the DS4.

OK. Yeah, haven't fired up the PS4 in ages and never messed around with those features. I guess that makes sense. Thanks!
