Microtransactions really aren't for those kinds of things. Those give you cosmetic items and if you dismantle them you get bright dust which is basically money you can spend in Eververse. For the materials you need to infusing, you really just need to play a ton.

Bungie is pretty good about not going the pay to win route. You could pump a ton of cash into the game and I don't think you'd be any further.

Plus once we hit max level again, any "level" you gain with XP after that gets you an Eververse package. So we typically see a steady stream of them.

Eververse basically is for finding emotes, ornaments and shaders you like.

Its amazing how much more enjoyable PvE is now that i can have a sniper in my second slot.

Forsaken story --WOW! What a ridiculous attempt at telling a story. This aspect is just getting worse.

Like both new patrol areas though.
New Strikes are better than I expected.
Clan bounties are bad. Mine seem to be all Crucible related.
Random Rolls is a god send. Even with the seemingly smaller perk pool per weapon.
Do Exotics drop? Haven't seen a single one yet.

Yeah? I am luving the story(avoid spoilers big twist at the end)

I got a exotic helmet from killing a turret yes a turret.

Maybe you gotta be 50/500+ as that's when I got most of my legendary and that exotic.

Thinking of getting into Destiny for the first time. Do you guys know what’s the best place to start if I were to buy a copy tomorrow? Is it even possible to start now?

Well, if you have a PS4 the game is free this month with PS+

Wouldn't hurt to try it and see if it is your thing. The game is definitely a time sink but it is not too late to start. The game does a good job of allowing people to go at their own pace.

Apparently 600 is the hard cap. This is Mike Ybarra, who is at 508. Damn that dude games a lot.

Stolen from reset era

"Considering reviews aren’t out yet, I think it’s worth sharing some of the communities impressions (and my own) to ERA at large.

The game so far has been very well received by fans and I genuinely believe it’s the best thing Bungie has done since Reach.

Why is it so much better?

+Spectacular Campaign Missions (Especially when compared to vanilla Destiny 2)

+Interesting New Characters and Storyline (Uldrin is a suitable villain that gives you plausible motivation to press forward and the new supporting characters like the Jabba the Hut like Fallen are pretty great)

+Cool and beautiful new areas to explore/mixups to new enemy types that feel different enough.

+The Bow is really fun and makes you feel overpowered even though in actuality you are not.

+Gambit mode offers some interesting twists to PVP/PVE interaction. Creating a whole new gamemode that is a hybrid of two reminiscent of Dark Souls invasion.

+Sandbox changes to weapons and mods have restored the game to what it should be

+Tons of content for the price/value. An endless amount of activities and quests to do to keep players spinning the hamster wheel and coming back.

I know Bungie has been dragged into the mud over the past year and change because of their deservedly lackluster response to the previous expansions and updates, however I think it is worth recognizing that they have really pushed hard to turn a corner.

You can see the effort that went into this one."

Lmao at the story stuff.

That last point is also a bit silly at this point.

Overall though, I do think it takes big steps in the right direction.

You can pull stuff out of your collections for cheaper than infusion. So if you want an old gun, dismantle it and just buy it back from the collection. It comes out 20 points below your light.

I gotta admit, there didn't seem to be any story. Just finished it today. Gameplay was fun, but was there a story here?

The eternal problem with Destiny's story is that nothing of consequence ever seems to happen, except the one thing we knew going in.

We're 2 games in and multiple expansions and we still know nothing about the darkness. Granted, I'm sure the lore will trickle in as people unlock stuff, but come on. Uldren and a bunch of Barons killed Cayde, so we killed them. End of story. To me, that's not a story. The ending was so weird too. Very anti-climactic. What was up with the darkness and Uldren?

I LOVE this expansion. The reef feels very alive and the graphics are awesome.

I just got this weapon and it absolutely SHREDS everything.
It sounds and looks amazing too when firing it.

Yeah! I have one too, Not got a good role yet, but do loike the gun and how it sounds.

Yea. I haven't finished Foresaken yet so i can't comment on that. However that was kinda my main gripe with D2's story, it felt like a side story since you just end up were you started. Like do these Guardians have an actual plan other than to survive another day, it feels like nothing story wise really advances.

I'm liking it so far. I was worried about random rolls based on how in D1 so many rolls were junk, but so far the perks seem a lot better. Most of the rolls I get now are solid at worst. Should be a lot to do for some time.

Finally got my 5 invader hand cannon kills for the Ace quest. I used Crimson for it, some people say to use Drang and Sturm.

I'm really disappointed to hear about the leveling system now. Way too damn complicated.

Apparently 520 is the 2nd soft cap. From there, only raids and nightfalls will get you higher, and the level for the NF is 540. Seems like leveling is just going to be a massive slog. The big problem is iron banner is going to take level into account, so if you are too low you get crushed.

So you could technically grind the daily and weekly challenges all the way to 600? Seeing as they only give +1 after 520 it would take a long time though right?

What I mean is, after 520 can you still make some progress without just running the Nightfall and Raid? Even if it's slow.
