The Xbox Onesie

feel sorry for the casual gamers getting am xbox for Xmas and having no idea what's going on.
 
I'm just going to turn my tv off and leave my Xbox signed in, so I don't have any problems.

They are going to have to come up with some thing to allow you to play your games offline. I can't believe it won't work at all! WTF?????

Just went to network settings and clicked on offline mode. That seems to allow me to sign in now and halo 4 at least works for single player

Are you playing from a disc or digital? I tried this and it does not seem to work for anything not on disc.

I couldn't care less. I'm an adult. I'll find other things to do. But why ruin the excitement of all the kids that just rereceived there console or new games. I shouldn't be surprised about this stuff this day and age.
 
Just got back from holiday dinner at the in-laws, my Xbox auto-shutdown.

Yeah, I knew about unchecking the 'turning storage off' thing, but I didn't know if I wanted it to always be on. I'm worried about the life of the external since almost all my games are on it, I'd to have to redownload all that stuff. Thanks anyways. =)
 
I wasn't home all day yesterday any how. Spend time with your family folks.
 
Going to buy the Seagate HD at work during the January sale to knock me up to 3TB
 
yeah live was down for me for few hours yesterday, came back for little bit then went down again but now it seems to be working good. I got sunset overdrive which is a pretty cool game so far, had to get used to all the movement but it is a fun game.
 
I'm guessing they're at it again? I can't access half of my arcade titles, and the ones that I can take forever to load.

That's probably the standard bog caused by the new wave of Xbox users. I changed to the google proxy and mine is loading things as fast as ever.
 
Yeah false alarm saying no issues. I'm connected to XBL and everything, but trying to install Telltale Collection and it's taking foreverrr.
 
Stuck on getting a new X1 game. Been playing MCC, Diablo, and Dragon Age so I've gotten my shooter and rpg fix. I'm leaning toward either GTAV or Shadow of Mordor. Completed GTAV before but the prettier graphics and first person make me want to revisit it. SoM looks really good but I've heard it's either really really good or nothing special.

Thoughts?
