Find me the last time the team with TWO, not three, but TWO of the best players in a series lost an NBA championship. You would have to go back to the 2004 Pistons. It just doesn't happen in the modern NBA.

The Spurs "team ball" looked real good when Dwyane Wade was hobbling up and down the court for the entire series. How did their "team ball" look when Wade was healthy?

Also...James, Love, and Irving will be the three best players in that series bar none.
Irving is not a better basketball player than Parker.

If it is Spurs/Cavs in the Finals, Spurs will win it. Spurs showed what great team ball is and other than LBJ and a few vets Love and Irving have NO playoff experience. I think the Cavs WILL become a great team and win it all soon... not this year. Give them some time playing together. Cavs look great on paper, but until they have a full season of playing together I just do not see them winning it all in their first year. This will be a trial year.

People always doubting the Spurs though I find it funny.

Remember Le Bron can opt out next year. Just saying.

Well Irving did have a better PER than Tony Parker last year and they're both horrendous defenders so it's not like anyone can say "Parker is a better basketball player than Irving".

Let's also consider some other factors.

- Tony Parker will turn 33 next season. Kyrie Irving is entering his 4th NBA season. Let's picture a couple of line graphs right now.
- Kyrie Irving had a down year last year offensively. It's reasonable to assume he will regain his rookie year form.
- Kyrie Irving was Cleveland's main offensive threat last year. It's reasonable to assume the double teams Lebron James and Kevin Love get this year will boost his efficiency considerably.
- Kyrie Irving has better athleticism and length than Tony Parker. It's reasonable to assume that his defense will improve because...A) He's playing behind alpha dogs Lebron James and Kevin Love. B) He's playing for a contender. C) He won't have to score 30 points a night for the Cavs to win anymore.

I think it's reasonable to assume that Kyrie Irving will be the second or third best player in a potential series with the Spurs, come June 2015.

Raps anyone? I think they'll be heading into the second round at least this year.

Like I said Cavs will NOT win it all this year. I'm not even saying the Spurs will for sure make the Finals because the West is a battle. If OKC makes it then KD will get his first ring.

You do not just throw a team together and expect to win it all in one year. It takes a little time. I fully expect the Cavs to be the favorite to win it all next year. Then again they could have a good regular season this year and not do much in the Playoffs because of team chemistry and players not stepping up and LBJ having to do it all by his self. The s*** storm that would hit from that if they underachieved.

And thinking Irving is a better player than Parker... how many playoff games, Finals games, rings and Finals MVP's does Irving have? Cav fans are funny.

Engagement is futile. Go watch ESPN.

I guess Rondo asked to be traded. I think he's had enough. Can't say that i blame him since he's always in trade rumors anyway and the Celtics aren't winning anything any time soon. Might as well go to a contender. Make it happen Cleveland. They can slide Kyrie into the two guard spot. Hey, Rondo's not a star right? So nobody can cry foul if it happens. He needs people to shoot the ball for him. Oh man, i'd love to see him on that roster.

Team ball, pick and roll, defense, and three point shooting is the future of the NBA, Spurs have been successful in all these areas for a decade now and have the formula to keep it going for a while, even if the roster is somewhat iffy they still get it done.

As good as Lebron is, i cant say the same about the Cavs.

Spurs go up by 20 in a blink of an eye because just about anyone can score with that ball movement and open shots and Cavs defense so far is questionable.

So Rondo and his agent denied that he asked for a trade. That's what i thought. He's going to be a Celtic for life once they realize you can't trade him for equal value and they have to pay him the big bucks. I wouldn't trade Rondo for any other point guard besides CP3 and we all know what a choker Paul is come playoff time. No thanks.

NBA is almost back!

Any predictions?

...Here's mine, Heat will not suck.

The Cavs will win the first of many NBA championships this year. They will also win more games than any other team during the regular season.

Oh and the Heat will get bounced in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs this year.
