Microsoft's E3 Press Conference

The Xbox E3 Briefing will air live on Sunday, June 10, at 1:00 pm pacific, 4 pm eastern

Watch via the official Mixer broadcast, Twitch, Youtube, Twitter, or Facebook.

Xbox E3 2018: Every Confirmed and Rumored Game

Compared to other announced press conferences the Xbox event has surprisingly few confirmed plans, but there are plenty of rumors to make up for it.

Forza Horizon 4 will be announced at E3.

Also confirmed for E3 is Sea of Thieves, though it may not be featured during the Xbox press conference itself.

Crackdown 3 is an obvious choice. Minecraft is always a crowd pleaser and could have new content in the works. And Age of Empires 4 was announced last year, so it may be in a playable state by now.

Gears of War is a hotbed for rumors, with up to three different games potentially being announced at E3 this year: Gears of War 5, a Gears of War Battle Royale, and a real-time strategy Gears of War.

And then there’s Halo. Halo 6 is widely rumored to be announced at the show, but there are so many secondary Halo rumors it’s hard to tell what’s true. Some say Halo 6 is focused entirely on Master Chief, others say it revolves around a squad of four marines. Is it named Halo Infinity? Does it feature a Battle Royale mode? Is it planned for 2019?

Playground Games, developers of Forza Horizon and now rumored to be a first-party Microsoft studio, opened a second studio to create an open world RPG in 2017 — rumored to be the next Fable. An E3 announcement seems unlikely, but the rumor lingers.

Re. third party... Assassin’s Creed Odyssey would be a likely inclusion this year. Similarly, Anthem could make another appearance. Microsoft often works closely with Warner Bros., so Rocksteady’s rumored Superman may be announced at the Xbox briefing. Another likely appearance could be Cyberpunk 2077.

Less reliable rumors include the leaked Walmart retail listing potentially being Xbox related, and that included Rage 2, Just Cause 4, Borderlands 3, and Dragon Quest 2.

With the Play Anywhere initiative and Game Pass subscription service proving successful, Microsoft may have further plans to improve the ties between Xbox and PC.

Xbox could also bring out its recently announced Xbox Adaptive Controller, a highly customizable controller built to address accessibility needs.

This year Microsoft will also be hosting a second livestream event, a “Live at E3” edition of Inside Xbox, on Monday, June 11, at 3:00 pm PT. The Inside Xbox stream will feature more announcements, as well as interviews and game demos.

Despite opinions on Xbox, they and we need the conference to be a success. It's good the consumer and the market altogether.

I hope they pull it off.

Well, my expectations are very low. Don't care about 3rd party stuff they show, I need to see what Microsoft is bringing to the table games wise.

People said this last-year too. Think we all know how that turned out.

Outside of Microsoft PR, who said it? I think most of us expected Microsoft to be guns blazing with the launch of a new console last year which is why it was so disappointing to many. I think up until this week, most had mediocre expectations.

Anything can happen but my expectations have drastically gone up.

A few did. If you are expecting me to remember names then you are cray cray. You get those kind of tweets every year.

No pressure Rollins, but since you've posted these rumours, the entirety of UnionVGF will hold you accountable for these lofty expectations. :p

If these standards aren't met, you can either a) be covered in live hornets, b) have a hot chilli enema, C) be stripped, have your head shaved and marched naked down the street whilst someone says "shame! Shame! Shame!" Or d) be my dinner guest.

I'm going to the Microsoft event here in Melbourne where they're screening the thing on a gold class screen and handing out presents! They're dragging it out for 5 hours and are starting it at 5:00am.

I wont be giddy, so much as drunk and eating a burrito.

I think there was a lot more cold water thrown on last years show but people didn't want to believe it. This feels much different.

The only question is if the hype is based on the substantial about of 3rd party games the show is likely to have or if its first party stuff.

I see you’re assuming I’ve never done any of those things before! Tsk tsk.

I love the anticipation but personally I’m keeping my expectations realistic. Plus, no matter what they do, there will always be a certain number of disappointed people.

This just popped up on Reddit...crazy deal if true:

Now I shall continue to inflate everyone’s expectations, fully assuming they will never be met. My real goal is to crush everyone’s dreams. Have a nice day!

Updated OP says it's a marketing mistake, and if you put the item in your cart, it rings up at 449.
