Boyle, who most recently gave us a Sex Pistols biopic series, teases how Garland penned 28 Months Later a couple of years ago with “a lovely idea” at the centre of it. “I’d be very tempted [to direct it]. It feels like a very good time actually. It’s funny, I hadn’t thought about it until you just said it, and I remembered ‘Bang, this script!’ which is again set in England, very much about England. Anyway, we’ll see… who knows?

“It might come back into focus because one of the things that’s happening in the business at the moment is it has to be a big reason for you to go to the cinema, because there are less and less reasons. It’s hard for companies distributing films and for cinema chains to show films, they’re struggling to get people into the cinema

That's where the first two took place. Don't disagree that it'd be nice to go somewhere else but if Cilian Murphy is back we'd need to see how that whole storyline worked.

I can’t recall the two movies, didn’t read the book, but wasn’t it that the the British isles were the only spot where zombies were and contained to them?

Both i guess.
England is a great country with fantastic vistas and amazingly looking cities and towns. It's a great setting for a zombie movie imo.
And English is a good sounding language most of the time.

Yeah, both movies are pretty great in the zombie genre imo and I've watch TONS of them, from s***ty B- movies to big blockbusters like WWZ.
There's a lot of great movies in the genre from all over the world (the koreans are pretty ace in the genre).

I ain't seent the second one in a decade plus, but I'm pretty sure it ended in France with a crashed helicopter with an infected or two
