Even in the first article Sam Lake never said they are giving it up; just that they are now working on QB and Alan Wake 2 is not in development right now.

Different market today. Alan Wake 2 could totally exist episodically, like the Tell Tale games.

While they big guys work on Quantum Break 2, they could have a smaller team make 5 x 2 level episodes for $12.99 over an 18-24 month period.

MS needs to get on that, but not before buying Remedy first.

Made me sad to watch the video. I'd have loved to play AW2, despite what some may say AW was one of my Top 10 games of the 360 generation. I cherish the few games that my wife will sit through with me and enjoy the story and this was one of them.

Was Alan Wake a horror game or an action? It's terrible to say but I've never played.

Psh, I play it all the time...IN MY DREAMS... like right now... ALAN NOOOOOOOO!!!

It was one of the few games I bought digitally last gen (accidentally bought a code off ebay after not reading the description). Should show up in my available to download once its officially added to the list of BC games.

Sam said it was the game he was most proud of, of course he would want to believe it would return one day.

I'd say their options are limited to Kickstarter though. It's been 5 years, no other publisher has stepped up to the plate for a sequel....never say never, but it's clear there's not much interest from publishers. Probably because Remedy won't surrender the IP.

MS....well, it's clear they are interested in owning the IP and they wanted something more action gamey then psychological horrory. I don't think they're interested.

Or maybe MS is like: "Let's see the numbers for Quantum Break first."

There are certain developers MS should just support regardless and Remedy is one of them.

Make it so Phil

Make it so
Well, true that P. Spencer is more about the portfolio than the bottom line, but I don't think these games are very cheap to make and Remedy does take their time...

On that note, I do hope that all the support MS has given Remedy for QB really pays off for them.

As repetitive as Alan Wake was, it was really repetitive, I enjoyed the hell out of the game. It was one of the better told video game stories.
