They aren't charging other producers so his role as a producer doesn't seem to be relevant to the charge. Weird to charge him as the one holding the gun unless he had reason to believe it wasn't safe.Well, someone is responsible for her death. He shot her and he is a producer of the movie, and in addition to that, the prop master was negligent with the prop. Seems like both are guilty.
As a producer he should have taken responsibility to make sure that his props are safe. Just because other producers didn't verify the safety doesn't make him not responsible for safety of his team. They aren't charging other producers so his role as a producer doesn't seem to be relevant to the charge. But if they are charging based on that than other people would need to be charged as well. Probably charging him because he held the gun and not because he was a producer. As a producer he should have taken responsibility to make sure that his props are safe. Baldwin was both an actor and producer for the movie. But if they are charging based on that than other people would need to be charged as well. Probably charging him because he held the gun and not because he was a producer.
He wont be acquitted. He pulled the trigger. "They told me the gun was safe" doesn't fly in a court of law. People are charged all the time for accidentally shooting someone.I think he'll get acquitted, but man I'd sue the ever loving s*** out of the prop master
People are charged all the time for shooting someone when they thought a gun was empty. Its not an excuse. No matter who handed it to them. It's kind of bulls*** that he's charged considering the circumstances. This isn't some folks playing around with a gun for funsies, this is a filmset, and the people shooting those cans are the ones who should charged for manslaughter since Baldwin was told it was empty to begin with.
It depends. Is your friend’s house on a movie set where there should be no live rounds and you were handed the gun by a professional who said the gun is good to go and then the cinematographer directs you how to do move the gun to get the shot she wants?I wonder... if I took a gun off a shelve in someone's house and asked the owner if it was safe (and got a yes) and then pointed it at someone and pulled the trigger... and killed him... what would happen? Would it go to court?
