All Xbox One games now to have 1000 gamerscore

One thing I would like them to mandate is to keep achievements with a zero on the end, like no lower than a 10. I hated being stuck with a 9 or a 5 at the end of my gamer score.

lol, I know what you're talking about. The Orange Box was one of the worst offenders of that. Had a bunch of 5's, 15's even 35's. It doesn't really bother me, but for OCD gamers out there I can see how it could be annoying.

im ok with 5's because its easy to find other games with a 5 to even it out. However only a handful of games have random points like 3..... and that messed me up. I once thought id bought a game with an odd achievement number in to fix the issue just to end up unlocking two odd ones by accident and it still effecting my score lol

Would be nice if there are some reward system for gamerpoints, even small stuff like more bings for your gamerpics and avatar, & better yet, some points for every certain points, that can be used as currency to downlaod DLCs & such..

I know its not a great return but have you looked at the xbox reward program (your based in germany right? im sure they are part of it) Dependant on your gamerscore you get a rebate on all purchases over £10, i believe it goes from 1,2,3,4% based on your gamerscore. Which yes before would of been tiny amounts but if you are buying a full retail game for £50 it could be a few pounds back each times which will add up if you get a few a month. Atop of that for each new release you play i believe 5 or 10 hours of a month within its launch you get money too along with other things.

Wow, there is already a reward system already! Thanks for the link. Totally not aware of its existence.

You have to sign up which i thinks rather unfair. But it does give you some stuff back. You need to earn 5000 of their reward points to get some money back which is deposited once a month :) hope you find the link useful.

Yeah, it's a great program. 5000 points = $5 btw, you can do a survey every month for something like 200 points, but you get points for doing lots of things like renewing XBL

By the way, when did this program start? Does it add point for all the years I renew for my gold membership, or only new renewals.

With the push towards going digital, Xbox Live Rewards could definitely end up being a really good deal this generation. If you have 75,000+ gamerscore you get 300 Rewards Credits for every $10 you spend. So if you buy a $60 game you're getting 1800 credits. At my gamerscore which is between 25,000 and 75,000 I would get 1200 credits per $60 game.

hope this runs through to the indie games as i only bought 6 or so of them due to there being no achievements on XBLIG.

Yeah I hope so, and I would think that it would help sales of indie games too, just for the reason you specified. Even if indies could only have 500 points I'd be a step in the right direction. That being said indies lacking cheevos didn't stop me from buying any if they were good

i did buy half a dozen or so indie games, usually Boulderdash type games. but since i got xbox 360 all those years ago..
just can't play games unless i get achievements on windows/xbox/steam or trophies on PS3.
stupid, i know. but i'd rather play those games that give me that bit extra ;-).

f*** every game that has achievements that end with an odd number. f***ing DJ Hero 2 had an achievement for f***ing 3 points.

I have bought a ton of indie games and demoed just as many more. Has it been said if Indie Games are coming back? I really dug it personally and had no problems with it being a fairly open platform for anybody to come in, be it for better or worse.

Same here I've bought a crap ton of indie games, there have been so really fun games in every genre. I think the pricing policy change a while back helped, most games being a buck helps. I don't mind dropping a buck even if its only a few hrs of fun. Cheevos would definitely help out the indie scene IMHO

I agree, although I tend to not care either way. With that said, I would think that some indie devs would attempt to make their achievements ridiculously easy.

And some people would buy the game just for the easy cheevos.
Would be a smart way to make some easy money. Pop in the disc, you get 500 gamer points. Start a New Game, get another 500.

The present program started in Decmber of 2010. It only counts renewals after you have signed up for the program. No points are counted retroactively. I accumulated over 2000 MS points before the switch over to regular currency.

I think it was Vampire smile or one of the Ska games that had an achievemnet worth 1 point. I will never have an even gamerscore because of it and it aggravates me every time I look at it. I can live with 5. It is the 1's and the 3's that frustrate the hell out of me. First world problems, right?

Bulletwitch was like that. I finished the game with a 999 score. Couldn't play through it on impossible mode for that last point.
I got that one, gotta say, the harder modes made Bulletwitch much more fun for me as I would use more of the abilities more often and obviously I was maxed out way before the final difficulty mode. Helps that the game is somewhat short. Not sure how you felt about it, but it was actually a game that grew on me the more I played it. Plus, I killed a huge giant with one blow multiple times. That's just awesome.
