Anybody have "Game Party" chat issues?

This seems to be happening to a lot of my friends. I dislike the new party chat. (game party now I guess) I was just wondering if anybody else had issues? It seems like I can get into a party once, but then all of my friends if we ever make a new party, nobody can hear each other half the time?

You can turn your box off, restart it, quit all the apps/games you have stockpiled, etc...but nothing fixes it except getting up & unplugging your console from the wall then turning the power back on, then it works.

We all have Open NAT's & we all have port-forwarded.

Has anybody else experienced this? It's driving me crazy & I don't feel like unplugging my freakin' system all the time just for party chat. How can it be this bad? lol.

No, you're not the only one. It's one those firmware bugs that only surface in real-time use that Microsoft will(hopefully) address in the first firmware update. Too many processes, running in the background while party chatting is the issue and on multiple consoles in the chat. Loss of audio and freezes are common with those who have this problem.

Hear a lot of people saying similar things. Personally I haven't tried it at all yet. Hopefully by the time I do MS will have fixed all he issues.

It's a bit of everything, it will put you in a channel of the games, shype is key to fix everything.

The new party system is a bit weird.

It seems it runs separately for each game or something, really weird.

For instance, I was in a party with a friend, playing BF4, then he went somewhere so I hoped on Killer Instinct and I was still in the same party. When I went to search for an exhibition match a message popped up to the effect that it was searching for a fight with both of us, so I left the party.

Another time I was in BF4 again, the buggy as hell game crashed (like exe crash) so I went to play Killer Instinct again, this time when I went to search it told me I had to leave my "Battlefield 4" Party... when I hadn't joined a party at all. This has happened a few times.

Then there are the issues with the "turn party chat on"-button only working when it wants to. That is a huge pain in the ass when I'm trying to set up a quick game, only to struggle with that for upwards of 15 minutes each time.

My friends and I are having the same issues. The system needs an update in a big way. I wish these companies would only fix what is broken and not take away key functionality that we have gown used too. I much preferred the way the 360 handled joining friends in games to this mess.

For example if I have multiple friends playing BF4 in different servers and I only want to join one of them, there is no way to know which server they are on. Just dumb.

i don't think the party is necessarily specific to a game, but if the host is in a game and the other members have that game, it seems to try to add them automatically to the multiplayer lobby. maybe there is a setting to turn it off? I haven't used it too much, just a two person party last night playing forza, but turning off/on party chat in order to switch between the party channel and the game lobby chat worked just fine, no complaints there.

Yeah. Easily the most frustrating problem with the new console. I hope we're not going to have to wait until the next official update for a fix either.

Ok, I've got that message again after switching games and NOT being in a party.

"Change party game to Battlefield 4?"
"Your party will find only Battlefield 4 matches instead of matches for the last game."
"[Change game : Cancel]"

It's not a huge hassle, I just click change game, but it's dumb that it does this.. I wasn't in a party and even if I was why does it insist we play the same game?

It's because it's not a Party Chat anymore, it's a "Game Party" really. It's your way of staying together & it keeps trying to put you in the same game together, popping up things. That is the most frustrating thing because after awhile people in the party chat start going to different games & such then it keeps asking right in the middle of gameplay to take you somewhere else, which you click on by accident.

Anyways, about the Voice Chat issues, I talked to support last night, they said over the next couple of weeks they are going to update some things. Hopefully that will help. They said as soon as one person in the Party has an issue, it makes the voice go out for everybody in the party.
