Yeah, I have a feeling that I'll either get Quest in the spring or Hololens Consumer edition, if that actually happens by then (it has been rumored). I already have a Gear VR by Oculus, so a Go doesn't really make sense to me. It's virtually the same thing without using a Galaxy phone. Don't get me wrong, it's cool being wireless... but going back to 3DOF is a huge step backward, imo. Of course, Quest is like twice the price of Go, but it's also literally in another league. I love my Gear for watching movies and playing some light gun type shooters. What brings the Quest into another league is playing Superhot with better tracking than PSVR and NO wires! That thought makes me want Quest really bad. These multiplayer arena games they keep showing also give me hope that this could be a great multiplayer system when the price drops.I’m definitely picking one up on the Spring. Was going to buy the Oculus Go but I’m going to pass on that and wait for Quest now.
I loved my Rift but found it a chore setting up the cameras every time I wanted to use it (wife didn’t want them left out with messy cables). It will be great to just put on the headset and be straight into VR with no cables of cameras to set up.
