Reason might be of they're playing vanilla NG you originally couldn't control the camera. Just RT to recentre. It was added in a XBL update Hurricane pack. NG Black had it by default.
Yeah, definitely the oddworld games would be sweet. I have the one I never actually finished still - Stranger's Wrath I think it was called. I picked up my preorder from Gamestop (man, that was ages ago) but I also picked up Metroid Prime that day and that one took up my attention.
Nevermind, found it in the drawer underneath the tv right next to my Duke, Metal Arms, and Unreal Championship.

Ninja Gaiden looks clean as f***, runs perfect from the first level I played through, everything nice and sharp, textures aren't too bad and hold up decently even on a 4k screen. Title screen intro is still suprisingly high quality but game CG stuff is as muddy as you would expect.
Beat the first boss on my first try, so I'm not totally rusty.

That is possible, but both of the reviews I was watching said Black in the title. It could be they turned off the free camera inadvertently and didn't realize it, or that they had the original and didn't realize there was a difference.
I was watch Ryan from IGN playing it from a few years ago and it was driving me bonkers. He never did a counter attack and didn't roll jump at all. EVERYONE knows that the fastest way to get from point A to point B is to do a Ninja flip forward, roll the second you hit the ground, ninja flip forward, etc... That's how I got to work today. People look at you funny on the interstate, but it saves you tons of gas.

Looks like they fixed a lot of the jaggies in some of those scenes. How's it playing so far? Is running at a smooth 60fps? Do the controls still feel tight on the one?
I won't be able to play this for a few days and it's driving me crazy!
Only played the first level so far and then i had to run out to the store.
Everything on the first level felt like a locked 60fps. Controls felt fine, had no problems clearing enemies.. i don't have my OG Xbox hooked to to a/b for latency differences though. I'll mess around more when i get home.
Very satisfied though.

First level done. Performance is perfect. Screen tearing is also gone that i can tell. The game looks really clean and i dont see any major aliasing.
The worst parts are the 480p jpgs for items that appear and some of the pre-rendered videos.

For some reason the marketplace wont allow me to purchase any Original Xbox titles. Anyone else having any trouble buying?
I never played Black but at the time it was always considered heavily underrated. I'll definitely be checking it out at some point down the line.
My brother still plays KOTOR like once a year at least so it's a pretty safe bet as long as you know the type of gameplay you're getting into ahead of time.
Kotor is a 40 hour Star Wars RPG and progenitor to mass effect. Its considered one of the best RPGs of all time. It's an easy recommend as long as you don't hate RPGs and Star Wars
Black is not for everyone. I'd suggest watching a YouTube play through. Its described as gun porn. The guns have amazing sound, but for $10 there are way better fps about with active multiplayer and visually its very dated. I finished it on 360 back in the day. I personally would wait for a sale.

Same. I bought NGB on Xbox.com.
Annoyingly Psychonauts isn't available in the UK digitally. I think cos Majesco published it.

Despite the resolution increase, Xbox One often runs at more than double the frame rate capped to 60fps...Scorpio should be good
Looking at the dash right now and no publicity on this that I can see on the main page or in the games page in the store. Nothing in the back compat section. Searching and auto results don't show...have to click search and then it will finally find something. I get this is fan service but some folks may be intrigued by NGB and KOTOR among others if they haven't played them and maybe heard of them over the years. MS need to do a bit better around publicizing this kind of stuff IMO.
