Exactly. Bad Company games had a pretty good amount of destruction in them, however, the BF proper games have gone with less destruction and higher player counts.

Just like there's no reason EA/DICE can't continue to optimize the Frostbite engine on the XB1...
I know this won't happen, but after seeing crackdown, they could use cloud compute to keep the number higher and have better destruction. Not crackdown level, but at least bad company.
Then make it a feature on PC. I never said consoles had to run it, but it's a shame that games like Battlefield don't utilize the power a PC has. BF4 on PC is simply a prettier and more stable console port.
It's one of the reasons why I don't play major first party games on PC. They're mostly just prettier versions of their console counter parts. Not saying it's bad at all, just not worth building a rig for it when the best PC games don't require a powerful system to play.
Maybe a mix of WW1 WW2 and Vietnam maps just for varieties sake, there are loads of memorable battles to recreate. Also not too fussed on more destruction, I like house to house fighting and tanks/choppers blowing the houses to rubble kind of dulls it for me. I think they have a good mix in BF4 with structures that can't be blown up that are fun to fight in and the mad scramble to get out of a crumbling building while firing your RPG is still exhilarating to this day.

Yep, interestingly was the fight essentially between Germany and Russia. Could be an interesting angle.
I guess the "Protagonists" would be the Russians, as you certainly can't be siding with the Nazis. I loved Enemy at the Gates though, so getting some of that oppressed soldier with limited resources/tech fighting the better trained and equipped German forces could be interesting.
Didn't the Germans pretty much steam-roll the Russians until Stalingrad, though? That could be depressing. It would make for some fun weather-based scenarios if done right .
