I'm not surprised if that's true. He tried to brute force himself to the top of the DCU with just one movie. The whole "the hierarchy has changed" comment. He probably refused to make a appearance in the Shazam movies because he probably thought it was beneath him.
Btw, his business partner/ex-wife Dany Garcia is Cavill's manager. Cavill needs to fire her.
I don't hate the Rock but he definitely showed his ass with this movie.
