I wasn't aware Sony owned the COD and BF4 IP and published them in Japan then refused to do such in the US…

The two games you listed have nothing to do with this situation at all, nor do they have to do with my statement. Please read up on Demon Souls and Sony's decision on how they handled the IP. All rumors presently state this is a PS4 exclusive because it's Sony Japan + From Software, thus leading to my statement of I doubt Sony will make the same mistake twice.

The problem is that you not basing any of this on fscts, just rumors.You want facts where there are none. Its assuming too much that this Project Beast is Demon's Souls II and putting way too much heart into rumors and gossip.

The person who leaked the new clips on 4chan said "It's a PS4 exclusive. Sony Japan Studio. Miyazaki is directing."

true but those title are the game, that is fine. I mean you have demon souls, then Dark souls which is the same kind of game, and this game have that same formula with a new title?

I would understand if its demon souls 2 or dark souls 3 but now a new title with the same style?

I mean it look great from that small clip don’t get me wrong.

So sequel after sequel is fine but possibly a new IP that borrows but advances is bad. Mmkay

It's really no different than spin-offs in Halo (ODST), Gears of War (Judgement), Forza (Horizon), or Fable (Journey).

No one said anything about facts. There are no facts yet, hence why I don't understand the conclusion you are asserting on the game's exclusivity, especially since it would not make much sense to go back to being Playstation exclusive with the series.

Right but you presume it's coming to PC/360 based on what? As you stated, it can't be facts since there are "none" (other than the fact this game exists as evident by everything we've been able to view so far).

So far everything we know about the game (to include the screenshots and gifs/webm/video) we're looking at came from the exact same source; one particular person on 4chan has been the source for all of this. Seems pretty disingenuous to flatout dismiss said source notes it's a Sony Japan/From Software collaberation but cheer at everything else. So until there is something to the contrary of what this person has been leaking. I'm going to go ahead and take that part of his posts (and not just the videos and screenshots) into consideration when I post. When more information is made available that disproves the prior information presented, I'll change my view. All we have at this point ARE rumors, dismissing them because they're not leaning in the direction you prefer isn't grounds for anything.

This is also why this thread in in Playstation forums and not multiplatform forums. If we're going to argue that rumors have no place in discussion, you might as well shut down the forums during tradeshow season.

Why not? Dark Souls isn't a actual sequel.
So up to this point the Sony owned Demons Souls never got a actual sequel (till this game)

Anyone can post pics and then self-validate their own added information to their fitting, including anyone on 4chan. Rumors have always been rumors. There is no reason not to dismiss his notes. The only concrete info we do know for sure is that this is in fact a next gen Souls game on the way. But as I said, there is little basis to assume From Software will do something as radical as abandon and irritate its fanbase by releasing their next big Souls game on Playstation only, and it is even worse to use a rumor as your only basis. I enjoy these rumors giving the info they have, but rumors are rumors and should never be touted as facts.

Demon's Souls IP was abandoned to continue the series as multiplatform. And until we have any true confirmations about the exclusivity or lack thereof, it's all up in the air.

The exact same person who leaked the video clips says Beast Souls is a PS4 exclusive: I don't believe this!

I never said anything like that. That kind of statement doesn't even make sense either. He is just putting words in my mouth if that's the case.
 
For me, Project Beast being exclusive to Sony is huge and would steal E3. Give me the game over anything MS has to offer.
 
Its almost certain to be exclusives. I do not think it will necessary steal the show, but it will add a stronger for Sony. The good thing is, its not another shooter.

What he doesn't realize are two things...

Demons Souls development teams and the DS publisher "Sony" never made a sequel to DS.

From Software wasn't the only team who made Demons Souls, in fact many of the original crew haven't worked on a Souls game since.

I've always thought about getting Demon's Souls but always passed on it. Now with this game being a possible sequel or spiritual successor I may finally get it. I just bought Dark Souls 1 on Steam as it was like $5. Demon's Souls digital is only like $10 so not bad.
