Cmstophe was shot

The hell saw this on the news but had no clue who is was. I just figured it was just another day in Columbus.
 
Hoping for the best for him. Please keep this thread updated with more information about his condition. Didn't know him really at all but I remember seeing the name a lot in the OTL of old.

Yeah, that's basically my knowledge of the dude. That and talking a bit of Game of Thrones with him. He is knowledgeable on GoT and seems a decent guy.

If I remember correctly he had the Kameo avatar? I may be wrong, it was a longgg time ago.
 
Damn,I hope cm makes it alrite. I lost a good friend this year to crime violence and the son of a coworker was violently gunned down on his way home. It's been a rather gritty year.
 
Hey guys, been in contact with his dad, he says the prognosis is good all things considered after taking 4 to the chest, but CM is expected to pull through and recover. His dad said he is incredibly lucky all things considered. He has been in out of surgery since the incident. As I learn more through our communications ill be sure to stop by and fill you all in.

We've got almost $700 raised so far.. thanks to anyone from here who has contributed.

Going to get him an XBO and a bunch of games/accessories.. others are working on some special OSU memorabilia, etc.
 
He briefly woke up the other day and the hospital is allowing visitors now. Both optimistic.

We managed to raise over 800+ and bought him an xbox 1, xbox live, live credit to download any game he wants as well.

So if you donated here, thank you very much for support, I know our forums don't merge often.

What the hell.. haven't heard from him in years but i enjoyed our conversations in the sports forums back at TXB. Life is messed up.
 
America is like a different world compared to where I come from!

Glad to hear he's doing ok.
 
News from his father today

If you want to pass on the word to the forum Jake, he is still pretty much out of it everyday, they're keeping him sedated while his body starts to heal. Hopefully the next few days things will start to get even better and he can start to communicate with us again. Let the guys know the doctors feel he will make a recovery

Another forum who was filled in on the incident was able to secure CM a autographed Cavaliers jersey as well. Pretty sweet.

How do you even survive 4 gun shots? I know if you're not shot in the head or the heart you've got a chance but wow. Cm is a warrior.

We don't need to get him an Xbox, we should be getting a record deal.

For those who don't recognise the name, he was also called ViperX11 a long time back. I remember him from when he and I were both members of Nintendojo. He was just a kid then, like 14. I hope he feels better soon.
 
I remember his old name. He always struck me as a PC gamer at heart like Ketto. He was also in active in the Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 announcement threads.

I forgot the exact number, but i think it's something like %70 of people shot with handguns live. Modern medicine is amazing.

Yes,, apparently he went out monday night, when he returned that night a man in a mask came out of the dark and shot him 4 times.


Updates from his father: He received the gifts we sent, so again thank you anyone who went to WCG and donated, and CM is slowly being worked off the drugs that are keeping him incapacitated.


His family is optimistic that he will be conscious more in the coming days/weeks.
