Cmstophe was shot

What a f***ing coward. Senseless.
Yeah, an early reported suggested it was a car jacking, but truth be told I dont really want to ask his father the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

I am sure CM will fill everyone in once he is awake.

Latest update from his dad.

I wanted to report to you that we have had a Christmas miracle ourselves. Christopher is beginning to wake up most of the time now as they are reducing all the sedatives he has been on. He has a long road ahead of him and he's pretty spacey and out of it right now so a little bit too early for us to start talking to him about Christmas presents but when the time is right we will do so. I did mention to him that all of his friends at WCG were thinking about him and wishing him well and he began to choke up. We are making progress one day at a time

Sounds like he has turned the corner.

Very great news. Here's to a speedy recovery. *raises beer*

Quick update, he is out of the hospital in Rehab and has recently posted on wcg. Has some dexterity issues and has a long road a head, but is damn lucky.

When you have a big community like TXB bad stuff is bound to happen to some of the members. :really:

Glad it sounds like he's pulling through well relatively speaking.

It's great to hear that Cm looks like he's going to pull through. What an awful thing for anyone to have to deal with.

Hey guys,

Somebody directed me to this thread. Never knew these forums existed. Crazy seeing long time favorites like Plainview and TDBank here! I wish you guys were at WCG. But anyways, I only wanted to register and post to thank you all for the good vibes and prayers sent my way during this ordeal. It's important to me to thank everybody, and it's great to know that people I haven't spoken with in forever haven't forgotten me. Li Tan, my boy ... have not seen you in forever. I remember the old glory days at Nintendojo. Good times. I was just a dumb kid at the time, man, I was an idiot. We all bicker and argue- I know Plain, myself and TD had some vicious debates back in the day, but man at the end of the day you guys are all my friends and I'm proud to say that.

Another special shout out to Satanic, he was really a driving force behind a lot of this and I can't thank him enough. If you'd asked me if he or anybody on the forums I visited really gave a s*** about me before this happened I'd have said hell no. Shows what I know. You guys are ballers. Thank you.

I'll try to stop in and say hello every now and then now that I'm aware this place exists and some of the old folks are taking refuge here. Love you all.

I'm glad you're breathing and I hope you make a complete recovery, cm.

Yeah, for the record, the guy wanted my car keys. I tossed them to him, not wanting to get close to a guy holding a hand cannon. He must not have seen where they landed (at your feet, jackass) so he shot me four times. They found the keys in the yard about a month ago and I picked them up when I moved all my stuff out. They still work like a charm. Next week is my last week of rehab, so about 3 more sessions. I'm pretty much back to normal (sans a spleen and most of my pancreas and a lot of scars on my body, and a damaged nerve in my right leg that is slowly healing). I'll be moving back to Columbus in a couple months. Will be packing serious heat this time.

Watch your backs out there. This can happen to anyone. I learned that the hard way when I saw my assailant walking, and parked my car on the road anyways, figured he was harmless. Bad mistake. NEVER assume. No matter where you are, it can happen.

Any idea who or why you? Random?

No clue. Appears like a random robbery.

We do know that mine and one of my roommates' left car mirror were knocked off earlier that day. Honestly it kind of reeked of gang initiation or something (there were a lot of gangs and drugs in the area, it was kind of shady) but the useless detectives threw that out the window. But like I said, they were pretty useless so I don't put a lot of stock into what they say. It's no coincidence somebody vandalized two of our cars earlier in the day.

They'll probably never catch the guy, but I can live with that. This entire experience hasn't ruined my life, if anything it's taught me so many valuable lessons, it's made me closer to friends and family, it allowed me to meet my wonderful girlfriend, and has definitely made me more determined than ever to accomplish my dreams. Life is beautiful, but fragile. I'm definitely way more determined and way more appreciative than I have ever been before.

i don't know you, but those are profound words and I am glad you came out of the situation as you have,
