Laura not just a pretty face that pretend to know about PC, she is actually very knowledgeable & have a channel about building PCs & rating PC gears, graphic cards etc.

What exclusive PC games did you spend $2500 on a gaming PC for? If you spent that much money to play games that you could be playing on a system at a fraction of that cost, then...
Not everyone wants to play at 900 and 720p.
People forget that PC's have more uses than gaming.

Graphics aside, if you're playing a game that I'm playing on a console, are we not playing the same game? That's a lot of money for a resolution bump. If that's important to you, then you're entitled to it. However, I'm just as entitled to my opinion that paying that much money to play the same game you could play at a fraction of the cost just for slightly better graphics is idiocy.
No one's forgetting that PCs have more uses than gaming. Most of us use them every day for those other things. However, many of those uses don't require a $2500 gaming rig either. That's just a poor attempt at rationalizing spending that amount of money.
It's not if you're doing productivity work which can require a lot of horse power.
Who cares if he pays 2500 dollars for a PC. I spent more than next gen consoles on my cooling solution alone for my PC, why? because it was worth it? Na, because I can it it's a hobby. You sound like a hater.

PC has a lot of great games not found on console. I am not going to sit and list them all, but here are a handful...
ARMA series.
Sid Meier games, Civ 5, etc.
Racing sims like Asseto Corsa.
MMO games like Guild Wars 2
PC has plenty of games not on other platorms. It also has a healthy amount of timed exclusives Like Elite Dangerous, Vanishing of Ethan Cater, The Forest, etc.
Funny, I do a lot of productivity work myself at a fraction of that.

Necessary, hmmm....hard to say really. It is kind of a subjective question.
Evo7 games at 1440p and seems to hate anything less than 60FPS. So for him, yeah, it likely is necessary.
For me, personally, not really, but then I game at 1080P and do not care if a game is 30FPS or 60FPS.
Aaah, but you see, you're both playing it are you not? My question was if it was necessary to play them, not the specifics of how you play them. Like I said previously, if it's important to you to pay so much money for better performance, than that is your privilege. However, I will never be convinced or not entitled to my opinion that paying so much money for such a thing when you can play it for much less is not only idiotic but lacks perspective as well.
It's just like when I purchase a car. I'm not going to spend ridiculous amounts of money on a car just because it looks good or has better performance. I need a car to get me from A to B, and I can do that at a fraction of the cost.

Some people are ok with spending the money to be able to play at high resolutions, visuals maxed out and double+ the performance of consoles.
That's a rather nonsensical approach, if that's how you're going to perceive the worth of someone else's purchase. That's like saying me saying that if you live in anything but the cheapest home is idiotic. Or, you're an idiot for having anything larger than a 17" TV. Or owning more than one pant/shoes/etc is idiot.
You are right, you are entitled to your opinion to think others are idiots for having their own opinion in what they finding worth in buying....but, on the flip side, we can call you an idiot if you own absolutely anything that is more than the bare minimum....which I'm guessing is the case.
