I'm starting to try to get back into surreal off beat movies again. I thought it would be interesting have a Random Indy Flick thread either posting the last one you saw or sharing recommendations or just randomly discuss one. The thread doesn't have to be just independent releases, sometimes off beat productions become successful commercial releases.

I just finished La Casa Lobo ( The Wolf House ). I'm not sure I follow the story well, but watched for the crazy animation. I've seen Graffiti street animation on YouTube, but this is over an hour of this type of art plus stop motion paper mache. I agree with the reviewer that it oddly wears on you especially with both reading the subtitles and this bizarre morphing sculpture going non-stop.

Interesting indy movie with surrealism on a budget. I thought the story could have been a little more focused and the acting was kind of mixed. I did enjoy the synthy music score.

It reminded me of Terry Gilliam or Michel Gondry's style, but not quite as refined as them.
