Dark Souls III Opening Cinematic (with narration)

So tempted to watch but I think I'll wait for the game.

Dark Souls 3 is most definitely getting post-launch DLC, and a season pass.

A listing for Dark Souls 3 and its season pass have appeared on the Australian Xbox Store recently. The page confirms the existence of a yet-to-be-announced season pass for the game, which itself includes access to two DLC packs.

The descriptor doesn’t reveal much on the Xbox Store or the Steam page for that matter, but says new DLC packs will include new maps, bosses, enemies, and additional weapon and armour sets.

The season pass naturally gets you both at a discounted price. The price of the pass was not available at the time of writing, which tends to be the case with digital Xbox games. You can, however, get both in a digital deluxe edition.

This week on Access is officially Dark Souls 3 week! Check back every day because we'll have daily videos with brand new gameplay captured from the PS4 version of From Software's epic RPG.

Nice. Still not watching anything. I want all the shocking nastiness of this game to bitch slap me right from day one.

I would love to see the % of people that finish these games.

I'm way too weak for them.

"Finish" is an abstract concept with these games. Does it mean completing the story? beating the ultimate boss? Starting new game plus? Completing every single hidden quest? Getting a particularly rare weapon? Any combination of the above?
There is infinite new game plus runs and you can initiate new game plus without even completing your first full story.
For me "Finish" is when I've collected everything I want and beaten all the bosses I want which usually means multiple new game plus starts.

I'd say a large amount of people who play Dark Souls finish it in some regard. Most gamers tend to shy away from it once they start reading about it.

You can wax on poetic all you want, I'm willing to bet less than 50% of people who bought DS2 actually completed the initial story, let alone all the other stuff you listed.

Edit* in 2014 it was 36%. Dont know if it went up or down after the expansion released.

I would have thought around 50% would be right for the amount of players that complete the story at least once. I'm a bit surprised it's as low as 36%. And I'm basing this on the fact that I have no problem getting co op games even though I've a huge character level and soul level.

I think those are the steam stats. I'm willing to guess the console stats are a fair bit lower.

A lot of game makers have spoken about how disappointing it is to design content, when less than 50% will get to see it.

Going digital on this one. Preordered last night, and awaiting my code for DS1. Is DS1 already backward compatible, or will I have to wait?
