Why are the changing the format to top-down Diablo style?

Played through it on PC. Its a solid co-op game.

I have it. It's very good. i wasn't sure I'd like the change in direction but the game translates very well over to a top down shooter. All the puzzles and combat feel exactly like Darksiders.
