Well good point though the Scorpio version will be the best version so I will get it there anyway. All content exclusive to the PS4 for a year again. That's one less purchase made this Fall then.
Maybe in time, but the. PS4 still has a huge install base lead for the forseeable future. It's funny how everyone gave Microsoft crap about third party deals last gen. Now Sony has the blueprint.
Also, must be embarrassing when you have marketing deals with every developer just about but games like CoD and even Destiny could sell better with Scorpio being out.
This Destiny 2 will flop, relatively speaking, and by relative I mean compared to Destiny 1.Yes you will
-DLC ethos needs a complete revamp.

More than likely, the Xbox One will probably be closer to 35-36 million by this holiday if they are on the same pace as the 360 was (they say they are beating the Xbox 360 at the same time frame). The Xbox One sold more Destiny copies at retail than the PS4 did on NPD when the game came out. And that is with the exclusive marketing deal the PS4 had.I don't know what you are smoking. There is no chance that COD or Destiny sells better on Xbox globally. It'll be like 65 PS4's million to 30 million Xbox's by the time both games come out.
Also the exclusive content sucks and I understand why do it. I can't disparage Sony too much though since they are not using that money instead of investing in first party, they are doing both.

Destiny's launch problem wasn't content, it was the horribly pieced together story that made the game feel empty and hollow. They are already trying to correct that and look to be in better shape for 2.

In my opinion, it definitely was. From the get go Destiny seemed like Bungie's attempt at merging the FPS genre with loot hoarding RPG games like Borderlands, or Diablo. But it's like they had no idea what made loot games so addicting, and it didn't help that they couldn't decide if it was a PvE loot game or a competitive PvP game - which is nigh-impossible to balance and there's a reason most MMO's separate your gear in these modes.
You'd plow through these fairly uninteresting, if beautiful, levels getting barely any loot and when you did it was often a slightly upgraded version of the exact same item you had anyway. The greatest story in the world couldn't save the fact the core gameplay loop was poorly executed. It wasn't like the game had a mad level of character customisation either, I don't mean cosmetic but skills/abilities. Leveling up wasn't exciting, there was no new fun looking skill or ability to try out, it was just one step closer to the max level. It was meh.
Don't get me wrong, the actual gameplay felt good, and co-op with friends makes anything fun. Even the story and world, as butchered as it was, was interesting to me, but I'd come away from missions feeling I got basically nothing for my time. A new pair of gloves or a new helmet, for 20 or 30 mins work. Whoop-dee-doo. If you're going to have randomised loot in your game take advantage of the fact it's randomised and don't drip feed it.
I'm guessing you haven't played in a long time. They figured out to stop being super stingy with the loot. No more purple engrams decrypting into lower level stuff. It isn't Diablo, but I'm max level and still enjoying looking for well rolled weapons. IMHO they made it fun without being the endless min/max grind of Division.
There's little reason to buy this on Xbox. Majority of the community will be on PS4 and aside from launch content, Destiny 3 will be close to release before you see the best DLC. Unlike other shooters, DLC is a big part of the experience. For these reasons, I look at Destiny as a PlayStation exclusive franchise. Even though I have a PS4 Pro, no way I'm playing a shooter with a dual shock. MS really fumbled letting Bungie go.
I disagree with that part of your post, I think it was what was best for both sides to be honest. No sense in risking leaving your biggest franchise in the hands of people that don't want to make it anymore. I'm not saying I think 343 is doing a great job with Halo either but I couldn't say that a Bungie made Halo game would be any better. MS was smart to let them go IMO.
Why? You may have been on to other games by the time this happened, but after Taken King but before Rise of Iron, the community was screaming for new content. The Destiny subreddit has exploded since yesterday again now that there's "new" content.
What have I put into Destiny? Probably $150? Original game, plus 4 DLC. Yet I guarantee you if I looked at the cost relative to hours played, Destiny is my "cheapest" game.
Not sure why you want a game without new content? Of course free would be great, but while I love my fictional world I live in the real one.
It would also be awesome if the DLC didn't force you to buy to keep playing, but come on. That's just not realistic either.

Destiny is one of the few games that stays on the ok side of micro-transactions. There's zero pay to win in the game.
Go grind out For Honor's paywall stuff and let me know how that goes.
Actually, there is little reason to get this on PlayStation. Just like this past Destiny, which has a huge population on Xbox (in fact, it had sold more on Xbox at retail than it did PS according to NPD), getting the game on Xbox will get you the best performance, the best graphics, the best online and the same content (albeit later). The only reason I could see anyone wanting this for the PS brand is if they need the DLC asap, which didn't effect most of us with this past the Destiny. There's little reason to buy this on Xbox. Indeed. Of if you enjoy playing with friends, which ever platform they are playing it on. All of my friends prefer playing Destiny on their Xbox and not their PS, so I will get it for Xbox again of course. There is only one reason to get it for either 'latform, preference.

Not going to disagree with most of those points. I think the Xbox is still the best place to play FPS specifically due to the controller and online features. Gamers online made a big deal about the DLC. For that reason, I've refused to purchase the game. It's actually good to hear that the DLC quality was overblown.
I don't remember what exactly was exclusive but I do remember the exclusive strike being the worst in the game and feeling pretty half assed. Of course even if it was great content I wouldn't see that as a reason to not buy the Xbox version.
The only reason I switched from Xbox to PS is that PS simply has a bigger community. That's not to say that the Destiny community on X1 is small of course.
Have you tried the "find a group" feature of XBL with Destiny yet? I'm thinking that will have some impact on the game.
I haven't since I switched over to PS4 for Destiny. That is a nice feature, but I still don't understand why they don't just add matchmaking for all activities. You can still always fireteam up and find your own group. I meet worse people on Destiny LFG than on random matchmaking.
