Reminder. you can only get 30 packages max from the faction vendors. That's 600 token. Also faction tokens are deleted from your inventory after the faction rally is over. So use them to level the faction even if you have hit the 30 package cap.
What do you mean? Is this only during the faction battle or is it over corse of the entire game?

No. Omnly Factions and I think Iron Banner have limited ppackages.

How do people keep "finding" items in the tower/farm? I see it pop up constantly.

From Everis engrams, Gunsmith, Zavala packages. Exotic and legendary engrams decrypted at the Cryptarc, etc.

I just accidentally dismantled my favorite weapon, the Antiope D. Goddamit now I'm sad.

How does destiny compare to halo my friend said that it's kinda like halo but better.i might get it and how is the campaign is it over 10 hours

Don't.

The campaign is a joke, and short if you take out all the stupid 'hit level x to continue' and constantly being forced to run everywhere.

Imagine that you kind of liked Halo, but you ran out of stuff to do quickly because you had to keep doing the same stuff over and over. Then you got to spend another $100 over the next couple of years to make the game good enough to play routinely, just in time for the next game to come out.

Don't. If you enjoy Halo 5 multiplayer you are in for nothing but disappointment with Destinys crucible.

It's nothing like Halo.

But I'm enjoying Iron Banner. First time playing in it and I got a s*** ton of badass gear.

Any of you PS4 guys who bought the X decide if you’re switching to X on this game or not?

I'm not. Saw the game on Xbox's black friday sale but it is too much effort to redo everything. If Bungle let us copy progress back and forth I would consider it. Even with D2 being a lot shorter, I still have a good 60 hours into it and I'm not looking to redo that.

I did D1 on both platforms and don't want to do that again.

Plus unless these expansions do something to really wow me I doubt I'll put a ton more time into the game. The 4k upscaling on the pro looks nice enough. It isn't like the Xbox is lacking 4k games to play anyway.

i am not playing it anymore, so no for me

thats the reason i bought it on Pro anyways, i wanted to play it but i knew i would be bored by it by the time X came out

Can't. believe how bad this Curse of Osiris looks and sounds.

8 story missions wort a couple of hours playtime. Two of those missions are the 2 strikes. There is nothing new to do, just more of the same. The Mercury patrol area is small. The "infinite" forrest is a glorified passage way to a preset destination(past, present, future). Heroic events seemingly have no modifiers, the modifiers are what made them good. The weapon Forging is a joke...not only are the wdapons fed to you 3 per week, but their fetch quest structure is just dull.

I''m just hoping we see the live team in the next stream and that they have some pretty big changes, cause these DLC streams are just not doing anything good.

Damn, is it that bad? I just got a XBX on Monday so that's where I've been gaming for the last week and haven't paid much attention to these DLC sneak peeks. I'll have to do some digging of my own to see what's in store for the next content release. I held off on getting Assassin's Creed: Origins because I thought I'd be back to D2 before I could finish it but now I"m starting to lean towards getting it and holding off of Curse of Osiris DLC.

D2 isn't "bad" it is just way, way shorter than D1. Destiny 1 you had to make a major time commitment to. Well, you really didn't have to but it sucked you in to grind more.

Just to compare I never hit max light level in D1 until the end when they made it easier (which was fine, always gave me something to work for). D2? Hitting max power is pretty easy. All you need to do is run milestones every week.

D2 is just very different when it comes to time. Casual players are just going to max out much quicker.

I've put 53 hours in on my first guardian and I'm only at power 272. So it's taking me a while. I surely wouldn't say that's quick. But I didn't play D1 nearly as much as D2. I never even beat the campaign in the first one.

I hit max level in all 3 years. The power level, while too quick, isn't the major problem. Tge real problem is there is no real incentive to play once you get the half dozen worthwhile weapons and max level.

That is why D1>>>D2.

Taking out random rolls is a severe longevity killer.

The dull, unrewarding token system doesn't help either.

And as a sequal, this game really is bad. None of the good D1 stuff is in D2.

After the Star Wars Battlefront II controversy, it seems like another game is limiting progression in order to encourage microtransactions.

Destiny 2 is the latest game to suffer backlash, following its handling of progression. Recently, players discovered the game was reducing the experience gains received, the longer players spent in particular events. A lengthy analysis by Reddit user EnergiserX provided some further confirmation, with some long-term testing on how experience earnings can be affected.

After you reach Level 20, your character starts gaining additional experience, which contributes toward earning "Bright Engrams." These are the same loot crates you can buy through Silver microtransactions. Even though the Bright Engrams mostly contain cosmetic microtransactions, they include unique items like emotes and consumable shaders to customize your player. Suffice to say that they're highly sought after items.

Bungie clearly understands this and secretly limited experience gains over long-term play. During Destiny 2's "Clarion Call" event, players noticed that they were seeing less experience from the same activity, despite no formal changes. If they repeated the activity several times, earnings would drop from 5,000 points in following sessions.

After being called out on various forms of social media, Bungie admitted that the game throttles experience gains, though the system would immediately be suspended. The studio issued the following statement on its websitediscussing the controversy.

"We've seen community discussion around XP gain in Destiny. After reviewing our data, we agree that the system is not performing the way we'd like it to. Today, we'd like to describe what's going on under the hood, and talk about what you can expect going forward when it comes to earning XP in Destiny 2. Currently... XP will scale down when playing activities that can be quickly, repeatedly chained, like grinding Public Events. We are not happy with the results, and we've heard the same from the community. Effective immediately, we are deactivating this system... players will see XP earn rates change for all activities across the board, but with all values being displayed consistently in the user interface."

I enjoy this game very much but it's infuriating to see that this what gaming has become. Devs/publishers take advantage of players and don't fix it until they're called out for it.

A few weeks ago i could swear it felt like i wasn't earning XP as fast. Now it makes sense. Pretty awful thing to do. If they wan't Public events to be less XP fine, drop the XP earned but don't hide it behind throttling.

Well Bright Engrams are Destiny 2's end-game.
