Wait, wait, wait... Why the f*** do I not rememeber anything after Dexter's boat being lost? I thought that's how it ended. I just watched the ending again. I don't remember seeing any of that. Did that air in the first run of the final episode?

Yep. The boat disappearing would be better. That ending was just absolute ass....

I would say the opposite. It was a great show that fell as hard on its face as any show can but its redeemable. Getting rid of the awful showrunner and replacing him with the original means it should be at least be an improvement.
