I did the "skip campaign" feature for the new character, as it let's you jump right into available end game activities depending on world tier.

A lot of the battle pass related challenges are associated with open world activities and end game stuff, so you're probably not going to get a ton of battle pass progress outside of standard XP leveling going through the campaign.

Wait, you can skip the campaign!?

Yeah, once you complete it with one character you can choose to skip it with other characters during the creation process.
Hey, at such a low level what activities are best to do if you skip the campaign, Tree of Whispers?

As you can tell, I have yet to start the season. I'm very close to adding another Glyph in the Paragon Board and want to see how much more damage I can do with the Druid I have, hehe.

As you can tell, I have yet to start the season. I'm very close to adding another Glyph in the Paragon Board and want to see how much more damage I can do with the Druid I have, hehe.

I skipped around between the following:

-The new hearts quest line
-Unlocking aspects i knew I'd need by doing dungeons
-Trying to knock out some easy renown so I could get more skill points (quick side quests, etc.)
-Doing quick whispers if several were close by each other on the map.
-Once I got to the mid 40's, I jumped from world tier 1 directly to wold tier 3 and started doing nightmare dungeons and hell tide to get legendaries & XP

I'm sure there are faster ways to level, but I was trying to have fun at the same time as being productive.

Via the battlepass, you can unlock some new item that you can then put into specific in-game boosts once you hit random levels. So far, i've put all my boosts into extra XP for killing enemies.

Thanks for this. I'll use it as a road map once I start this season.

I know the new seasonal dungeons are pretty good. Extra elite enemies and they are generally shorter (a lot less running around).

1-50 seems fast enough regardless. Having all the extra skill points and a good build means I just shred through content. I mostly just run around and have fun.

I guess the higher levels is where everything turns into a real slog.

I'm already hitting a wall at 32 to be honest. I couldn't get on the game last night and I just went and played something else.

Buffs galore announced for every class in today's fireside chat. Looking forward to the new patch coming.

I created a Necromancer for the season. I hope its a fun class and also not gimped.

Since I will control the power of the undead his name of couse is- Forgemaster Isaac.

The lag is getting really bad again. Not just little lag spikes but major rubber banding. I ported into town, only to rubber band back into the portal and back where I was. It comes and goes, but the game gets unplayable at times, at least on PS5. There's also this major delay when hitting buttons, and sometimes abilities won't even trigger.

It’s crazy how slowly you lvl. Took me forever to go from 30 to 40.

I'm stuck at 46 and it is just a slog. It is a little too early to run the capstone, so I'm just doing pointless things to get XP. They really need to boost XP much bigger if they want me to do this again. I unlocked one XP boost in the battle pass, but I don't know if it does anything. The next is at level 56.

They made it sound like seasonal leveling would be a lot faster, but it doesn't seem like it.

Havent played much this season. Only level 15 on the necro. I like the game but the battlepass and season content just looks kinda weak. I’ll probably level to 50-60 and call it a day.

D4 striking me as a game that will take a year or so to hit its stride. The battle pass and season loops need a few cycles of feedback to fine tune. And I’m guessing there will be a paid xpac at the end of 2024.

I haven't had as much time to play lately. But I'm having a lot of fun with the Necromancer I'm working on for this season. I think I'm at lvl40 right now and I'm just steamrolling over everything but I'm still at World Tier 2, I expect the difficulty to pick up once I get over to WT3.

I really want to continue with the Minion build I'm working on. I've tried looking online for builds to plan for as I get higher in level. But it seems there's a major complaint about the survivability of Minions at higher levels. I hope to find a way around that since its a lot of fun watching my Horde of the Undead killing everything for me.

There's this really useful Legendary Aspect that greatly increases Minion attack speed while giving them lots of damage reduction. Its hilarious to watch the Skeleton Warriors use super speed and go nuts on enemies.

With all the buffs coming to Druid minions next week, I'm thinking about sticking with my present basic tornado / minion druid build and holding off on transitioning to the werewolf tornado build. We'll see.

I am loving my twisting blade Rogue. Dancing through waves of enemies, shredding them along the way is hilarious. I'm stuck at level 48 hoping to get to 50 soon. I thought for sure they'd nerf this build as it is pretty stupid. Super fun to play too.

I really want to go back to my eternal realm Barb after the barb buffs next week.

I'm having a tough time caring about the battle pass. There seems to be nothing worthwhile in it. The whole point of cosmetics for a character in a top down game that is zoomed out is kind of silly. I think I'll just skip seasons completely and just play the game.

These games always need a big DLC to sort of finish off the endgame, and this is no different.

Yeah I have yet to use anything from the BP. It just gives you something to grind for really.

I'm starting to understand how good these caged hearts can be. If you get the right one for your build, they can be crazy. I've got one for my Rogue that leaves a "dummy" in a poison trap, which causes every mob to run into it (and away from me). I just sit there and stab away while they attack a decoy.

There's another one that just gives me energy every time I take damage. I basically just jump into a mass of enemies and spam twisted blades. Huge chunks of enemies just disappear.

I got my Necro to lvl51 and the Minion build (Corpse Commander) is progressing well. I even got a unique weapon that's totally unfair to the enemies. My darkness skills now chill enemies and build to freeze them. On top of that I set my Skeletal Mages to do freeze damage, which means eveything is frozen very quickly. I'm destroying enemies 5-8 levels above me without much effort, haha. There are a few legendary aspects I need to make this build even more nuts.

I raged harder than I have in a long time while trying to complete the world tier 4 capstone dungeon a few nights ago. Tier 3 has felt like a cake walk where I'm never getting injured more than a tiny percent of my health. I jumped into that dungeon, and it was challenging yet doable. I got to the boss and was repeatedly one shot killed by him over, and over, and over again. Got him down to about 15 to 20% health two or three times, and he'd oneshot kill me every time his life hit that mark.

Guess I'm going to need to level up a few more times, annoying that the boss is so much more powerful than everything before it in the dungeon.

I'm really not looking forward to facing that boss. He caused me a lot of problems with the Druid I was playing before the season started. And once I made it into WT4 I was steamrolling everything again. That boss serves no purpose other than to slow the player's progress.

My Seasonal Necro has a small army of Skeletal Warriors right now and I'll bet he will one-shot them all with one of those stupid attacks that covers half the screen.

They were not kidding about ramping up enemy density. The problem is that the game is curb stomping me now. You can't just run out of combat, as now you just run into another dense pack of mobs. Before you know it, you have stuff all over the screen. More mobs means more crowd control. Get crowd controlled now and you die. Whatever counter you have for CC will run out and you'll get swarmed. Get slowed, you die.

I was running a nightmare dungeon 1 level below me, which should be easy and it wasn't. I ran into a Helltide solo and got wrecked. I simply couldn't stay alive.

I know the high end players wanted easier XP farms, but right now this is going to slow me down considerably.

I'll have to get used to it, but also am probably going to have to adjust my build. I don't even know how to handle 50 mobs on the screen once all your abilities are gone. It is simple math really, there's just too many mobs and not enough abilities.

Hmmm, I haven't had any problems with enemy density and I'm still destroying enemies 7-8 levels above me. But the Necro I'm leveling has a lot of crowd control abilities.

I have Corpse Tenticles that pulls in enemies and stuns them for a few seconds. I also have Blood Mist which makes me unstoppable and gives me a barrier. The Core Skill (Blight) slows enemies which gives me some breathing room.
If you can't get some CC, perhaps some defensive abilities either on the skill tree or paragon board might help.

Yeah I just changed my build and it is kind of a mess. I'm only like level 54 and just got into WT3, so that might be it. I'm not geared all that well yet, but the other day before the patch I was crushing things.
