I figured since Gamer Christmas is less than two months away (already?!) we should get a thread up and running. E3 rumors should start trickling in any day now so this will be as good of a place to talk Half Life 3 as any...

It's funny, this year the two briefings I'm looking forward too most are the ones I never bothered with before, Bethesda & Ubisoft.
Bethesda supposedly has a new massive sci-fi RPG.
Yes. What they're doing with BC is very impressive.
Lol
You release BC news/info during a slow news cycle. You don't waste time on that during your biggest press event of the year. No, just no.
You're not giving any reasons, just saying "no" and "lol." Weak.
You'll see; MS will have a section featuring BC, both OG and 360. It will feature things like RDR in 4K, MCC in 4K, and the OG bc titles in near-4K, along with (I expect) additional announcements. What did BigMutha say? That their BC team is their best development team this generation? What they're doing with BC is impressive and deserves attention during E3.
Everybody knows BC and 4K are Xbox biggest things going right now.
Haven't been paying attention? Lol

Someone hasn't been paying attention.
If you're trying to demonstrate how much attention you're paying, you're failing. That's an article that came out before the 1X was released. It's irrelevant to what I was discussing. I mentioned things only available on the 1X -- RDR in 4K, OG games in near 4K, and the difference between what they are doing and normal BC. None of that existed at the time this article was written.
Even putting the irrelevance aside, the article acknowledges that its data is erroneous ("That fault in the underlying data has led us to vastly underestimate total usage times for the apps and games in our usage sample..."). MS has released impressive figures on how much people actually play BC games. It's a lot.
Anyhow, the main issue is that these features I'm talking about are specific to the 1X. Even if it were accurate, the article is referencing the standard Xbox One. The X wasn't even out. So it's irrelevant to what I was talking about.
I'm not sure which is more enjoyable, this or digging out old bathtub caulk. They kind of feel the same on some level.
At least read the article before responding. Ars Technica does not back down from its original claim and suggests Microsoft is only right on a largely irrelevant technicality.
And oh yes, I'm sure Microsoft released some statistics that made BC look real popular. But then again, most semi intelligent 16 year olds know giant corporations spin statistics to paint rosier pictures. I'd trust Ars Technica on this one. Maybe if you privide the link to Microsofts numbers we can see how they're fooling ya. But...ya didn't did ya? Hmmm...
Lets walk through another minefield of yours shall we? You suggest that BC numbers on the original XBox One are irrelevent to how popular/relavent BC will be on the XBox One X? You are aware of how few people own an XBox One X right? You are also aware that the demographic who buys the XBox One X really, really cares about graphics. Do you really think that demo has a higher interest in uprezzed XBox and XBox 360 games? No, they buy the X to play the best versions of today/tomorrows AAA titles. Blinx The Time Sweeper and Kameo Elements of Power aint going to impress anyone even at 4k.
Andy, you're sick. I'm prescribing you the following. Please listen to it while you're working on your bathtub. Heck, everyone needs to listen to this...

In summation, MS would be nuts to spotlight BC on the biggest stage in June.

Kind of ironic how you spun the article to create a conspiracy.

Interesting. I hadn't heard that. We need more good SF RPGs.
I've already yapped about my sense of what E3 will bring in the MS thread, but to recap briefly: it'll be MS's year, their comeback year; they've got lots to spotlight (BC, hardware advantage, Gamepass) and most importantly will have at least a couple new big AAA exclusive games to announce, along with the expected. MS will have most of the excitement and momentum this year. Sony will do fine because the games in the pipeline are interesting, but it will be status quo, with nothing much new announced, just more info about games that we already know about. Nintendo isn't really on my radar.
Would love to see Cyberpunk 2077.
CD Projeckt is my favorite dev.
