Exchange Program: Disk To Digital

In addition to the new console, there will be a ‘disc-to-digital’ program that, as the name states, turns your physical games into digital downloads. The idea is that you can take your disc to a participating retailer (like the Microsoft store) and trade in your disc for a digital download.

Now that can be good. I love the collector's edition stuff but it always comes with a hard copy.

I rather have codes instead.

Even though i mainly use digital ONLY to share and do NOT want a all digital future...

Yup...many games I have on disc, I end up trading in to get some value BUT in the case I want to keep the game, I had been waiting for a "very good" digital sale before trading the disc. This just takes the waiting out of it. The benefits for those wondering is that you are able to share digital games (using the home Xbox feature) for simultaneous play. In my case, I have 2 Xboxes and a single digital copy allows me and my son to play the same game across 2 consoles at the same time (most games don't support split-screen these days so very nice feature). So, yeah, I'm so down for this!
