  • Interactive Drama. An intuitive control scheme and spectacular split-screen presentation complement the game's mysterious noir narrative.
  • Extensive Replayability. With branching dialog and multiple endings, each playthrough of the game yields a different outcome.
  • Multiple Characters. Take control of the narrative through four different playable characters, each illuminating a different perspective of the story.
  • Cinematic Score. Fahrenheit features a fully orchestrated [check] score composed by Angelo Badalamenti, famous for his extensive work with director David Lynch.
  • Uncut version of the game. Unlike the original North American release, Remastered contains all of the game's original scenes, uncensored and uncut.

Guilt is a chilling feeling… Originally released in 2005, Fahrenheit (known as Indigo Prophecy in North America) was a breakthrough in interactive narrative, teetering between the worlds of cinema and gaming while also embracing them, carving its own unique genre in the entertainment landscape. This newly remastered edition features updated graphics, full controller support AND is based on the uncut/uncensored international version of the game. With a rich multilayered narrative, innovative presentation, and a chilling musical score by famed Hollywood composer Angelo Badalementi, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered serves as the definitive version of the supernatural murder mystery and (re)introduces the groundbreaking title to old and new fans alike.

Key Upgrades:
• High-definition Graphics — All of the in-game textures have been meticulously recreated in HD for mobile and desktop.
• Full Controller Support — Support for Sony and Microsoft controllers for desktop platforms.
• Live Graphics Comparison — Players can switch between the updated visuals and the original art assets with the touch of a button.

A few things:

1. They make reference to HD visuals and switching between old and new visuals, so there has been some type of visual upgrade. Some of the screens I've seen at GAF suggest that the upgrade has been fairly modest, however, so don't expect that this is an upgrade to Beyond or Sorcerer-level graphics. More like a mild visual bump.

2. I would assume it's coming to consoles, too, although the announcement here is just for Steam.

3. There was some censorship of the North American version, involving nude bits and simulated f*cking. Those parts will be included in this version. I'm not sure why the ERSB had an issue with it then but they don't now, but there you go. Enjoy your visually upgraded butt-cracks and side boobs.

Here are more details on the censored bits:

Anyhow, I'll definitely be picking this up. I enjoyed Indigo Prophecy more than Cage's other games. The last third of the story becomes completely ridiculous, but if I know that going in, I won't be disappointed. It's been 10 years since I played it, so it'll be worth going through again.

Good ideas but poorly executed as is normal with David Cage but I still played this more than once.

I played the demo a long time ago, but never got the game just because the controls sucked on PC. I need to play it now, but with controller of course. I seemed interesting.

I like this one ---> "Full Controller Support — Support for Sony and Microsoft controllers for desktop platforms."

Here's the trailer:

If those are the updated graphics (I have to assume they are), I'm not impressed. I'll probably still get the game, because I'd like to replay it, but I won't pay full price for it.

For $10 that's what'd expect for a visual upgrade.

Are they going to include the awkward as f*** sex scenes? Seriously, this game's story did not needed a sex scene at all. Halo needed a sex scene more than this game,f***ing Duck Tales needed a sex scene more than this game. f***ing French...

$9.99 sounds like a good deal. I'm getting it next time I grab some stream cards.

It's amazing how much more organic 3D modeling has become. It's like two to three times the polygons of a playstation game along with way higher res textures.
