I'm really excited for this game. I understand the gameplay must be tuned for the modern era, but I don't see why they can't just go FFXIII-style so they can still preserve the original gameplay the most they can.

Can't say I agree, I want them to overhaul every aspect of FF7 for the modern era. Turn-based battles however, are fine, but get rid of the random encounters/battle screens.

What do you mean when you say 13 style?
I want the gameplay to be similar to FFXIII. Final Fantasy XIII has the essence of the ATB battle system used in FFVII but with a modern flare to it. I don't want this remake to become an action RPG like FFXV or like Kingdom Hearts. Keep the essence of this game in tact while still taking a modern approach.

I feel like that isn't keeping the essence of the game.

Now that Australia has an R18 rating, I want chocobo breeding to be more *ahem*... Involved.

I feel it would be important for the... Gameplay...

I still have my PS2 and copy of FFVII. I played through half of it a couple years ago then got side tracked by some other games. Also still have FF Tactics. That game is still awesome.
