The first wave of indie games coming to Xbox One via ID@Xbox will arrive in the first quarter of 2014, Microsoft has confirmed.

Speaking to Edge, ID@Xbox boss Chris Charla said, “I think it will be early in the New Year, in the first three months. I would say closer to the third month. In terms of how many games there will be, it’s hard to say, because they’re still in development,” he said.

Microsoft has said that 32 independent studios have been signed up to ID@Xbox, the console's self-publishing program, with various games at various stages of development.

“Some developers started developing for Xbox One, others already had games in development and are working on Xbox One versions. I would say they’re at all stages of development, honestly.”

Among the teams working on games for Microsoft’s shiny new console are Mighty No. 9 creators Comcept, Nuclear Throne devs Vlambeer and Double Fine.

Hurry up, looking for some games in between the big releases.

Also this is where Kinect can really open up with the imagination of small devs.

Hope we get some high quality ones at attractive prices. Especially if there's a drought form now until Spring.

I have a feeling Below will score 9-ish scores.
Scores don't really matter. But the makers of Below created the critically acclaimed Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP for the PC platform. I never got to finish it, but it was a beautiful 8-bit-like experience.
