I know it's early so far, but I'm just curious what purchases people are regretting this generation? It can be either games you've purchased or games you wish you'd bought cheaper.

I feel like I've been pretty lucky in that games I may have REALLY regretted, I ended up purchasing on disc and got a fair amount of trade value. Destiny was a huge bullet that I dodged by buying it on disc. Anyway, my list so far would be...

Sniper Elite 3: I only bought it at $10, but I barely play it. I'm not sure how long it will take me to finish the campaign.

AC Unit and Black Flag combo: Paid $50 to a friend for these since he bought the bundle and didn't like the games. Well, Unity is a decent game but not one I needed in my collection at all, and I was surprised at how little difference there is between Black Flag on the 360 vs the One. Plus they plummeted in price a couple weeks after I bought them. Probably my worst purchase this generation.

Also, I paid $15 for Outlast and full price for Sunset Overdrive. Both good games, but I really could have waited for cheaper pricing.

Watch Dogs. Everything I saw looked bad but still I bought it and it was utter crap.

Wouldn't even like it as a Games with Gold.

Watch dogs: I bought into the hype.
Destiny : I bought this off the strength of Bungie's name
Halo MCC : I though the multiplayer would work.

In all honesty, I wish I'd never bought these games. They're not terrible games but I just didn't have any fun with them.

Initially....Halo MCC...I got a refund on it and then bought it back a month later while it was on sale and right before the patch that fixed most of the issues in matchmaking.

The other games I regret buying mostly because I don't have much time to play and I keep finding myself going to other games when I do have time.....the games that I bought that I put very little time into are Sunset Overdrive, Tomb Raider and the UFC...its not that I think they aren't good games...I just consistently find myself wanting to play FIFA 15 and Halo MCC more than those games. I will get around to Sunset Overdrive and Tomb Raider eventually...I just don't know if I'll ever get around to playing the UFC game because the control for that game are pretty intense and require a lot of memorization.

So far I haven't regretted buying any games yet. All the games I've bought have been on sale at drastically reduced prices or games I knew I liked before purchase.

Seems as if this gen games go on sale (or are free) a lot quicker than in the past. If your unsure of a game wait a couple of weeks and it can be had for at least $20 off...

Xbox One and Forza Horizon 2

I got both for around $300 total right before Christmas...extremely disappointed with the game and entire system so far and I'm a huge Xbox fan. I'm hoping that Tomb Raider or some other unannounced exclusive(s) gives me some sort of enjoyment out of this system.

I'd say Destiny as well. I almost didn't get it as I wasn't getting great vibes, but it was a slow time, and I just thought "why not". I was really regretting BF4, but mostly because it didn't live up to it's older siblings and the MP was broken( without a great SP mode to make up for it ala MCC.)

I don't regret buying most of my games really, as I will eventually get around to playing them all, lol. I try to know what I'm getting into first though, so there aren't usually surprises. I do wish I could get around to UFC more often as I like it, but the learning curve is so damn steep and I want to just play my games, not learn them.

I had a lot of fun with the flawed Watch Dogs and Unity. I put a lot of time into them, so it wouldn't be fair to say I didn't get my money's worth.

My biggest surprise is just how much impact my Kinect has had on how I run my entertainment. I visited my Dad's house over the weekend, and the lack of voice commands was driving me batty! Me NO LIKEY Looking for REMOTES!

Sunset Overdrive: Just didn't like it, especially the tower defense/hoard elements when brewing amps. I most regret this, probably because it was the one I was most looking forward too.
Watchdogs: A chore to play, nothing fun there.
Killzone Shadowfall: Just kind of dull

Also AC Unity and The Last of Us they came with the console so no real regret, just disapointment

I haven't regretted buying a game in a long time. Well, maybe Octodad, but that was like $10. I regretted buying the PS TV, but I got my money back, so no big deal.

Buyers remorse is the biggest hang up I have with going fully digital. Like I said earlier, Destiny would have been my choice. The fact that I could, and did, trade it in nullified my remorse.

I dislike you right meow. I went full digital guardian edition. Super sad. Waste of $90 bucks. :(

That is the ONLY game in the past 5 years I really regret period.

Destiny. I like grindy games, but f*** grindy games that try and put me on a weekly schedule.

I would have to say DriveClub. Broken, half assed graphics, DLC pushing, crappy AI, and a dwindling following. It is such a broke ass POS (prolly the most broken game released this gen), they should have made it the free PSN+ game instead and refund those of us who paid $60.00.

Master Chief Collection. Hard not to regret buying something that barely works for months.

My PS4.

I should have waited for the first must have next gen game to release, which ended up being Bloodborne. or the first price drop, which has yet to happen.

I barely played Forza 5 and Ive been a fan in the past owning each version. Now FH2 made up for it, I think I've just shifted from being a sim racing fan to more casual with some sim elements.

Watchdogs was another waste of money, never would have bought had the PS4 library not been so sparse early on.

Watch Dogs, MCC, and DC. MCC works now, but I traded in DC before it did.

AC Unity, to this day have barely played it. I never even encountered a bunch of bugs or anything, I just didn't really find it all that enjoyable or engaging. I liked the parkour still, but felt the combat was WAAAAY boring. Terrible combat changes imo, I think I may have liked AC1's better to be honest, thats how much I hated it. Also maybe CoD:AW. Beat the campaign and played a little bit of multi but it'd been so long since I had been into CoD multi that I just got my ass handed to me left and right and didn't have any fun so...

Watch dogs. Just a terrible game.
Sunset overdrive. Another terrible game. Didn't even make it half way through that one.
