If you press the mute button on the ad it should mute most of them. I had that issue before and haven't heard anything since. I try my best to block the risqué ads and the annoying ones. To do that I need to use Chrome because it gives me details of the add to block. My standard browser is Firefox.
Quoting people via mobile android/jelly bean is funky...as it puts your text above/on the person you are quotings post.
Plainview view slow typing didn't work for me either.
I didn't try the multiple enters. I used this: (if you're on an Android phone/tablet) Do a Select All on the text you're quoting and copy it. That fixes it. You can then type away. This leads me to think it's some kind of formatting issue. I tried changing themes and the problem is still there.
Hasn't been happening since the start. It only started a couple of months ago for me. I tried different browsers, different themes, different devices and still have the problem. I just do the Select All & copy to get around it. My tablet is on Android 4.4 and my phone is 4.3
I understand the need for ads on the site, but these auto-play ads are extremely annoying. Is there a way to disable this on my end or via the website? (Yes, I can turn my volume down or click down to pause them when they startup, looking for a more permanent manageable solution).
If you hit the mute button on one ad it should disable the audio from that point on future ads. I haven't had any ad audio since I did that when we first started using ads. Which ad in particular was it? I can block individual ads.
The Delsym Cough/Finish dishwasher ads I tried muting but when I go to a new page they come back unmuted.

I know what ads you mean. I can't find them where I can review ads. Finish should be removed. I blocked general url's for Delsym and Mucinex. Hopefully that works.
To me, the multi-quoting is whack. Any way we can tweak this. So, in my experience, I found it convenient to read through a thread...as I am reading, I click on the multi-quote button on people that I want to quote. Once I get to the end of the thread, I may have selected say 5 posts to multi-quote. When I then hit REPLY, all 5 of those posts are quoted and I can respond to them.
The way it is done here seems weird. It's like I have to hit reply to get a quote. Then go back some how to where I left off, hit reply again, and it adds to my quote, then go back again and hit reply.
Unless I am doing it wrong, I wouldn't mind see the addition of a multi-quote button.

Plain, I wanted to mention something that I like about the forum. I like that the forum doesn't mark itself as read when I exit the website, or after X minutes. Sometimes I can't get to every post when I get in here, and when I come back even the next day, it remembers what I haven't read yet. That has always been an issue for me at TXB and every other forum that I visit.
