I switched to easy and I am still struggling to win races. Never was an issue for me in 3
Two things I found - I went into the controls setting and into the advanced option (X) and turned down the first null setting (steering axis deadzone inside). I think I set it on like 2-3 instead of 10. That gives you a finer control and doesn't make things as twitchy (takes a little getting used to). Forza loves these huge null zones by default but I don't think they work well with controller.
Also putting in the transmission that lets you adjust your final drive is big (no need for the race one, just the one below that). I crank mine way towards acceleration over top speed, since that's what most of the races are about.
The difficulty is much harder over 3. I used to beat 3 on much higher than default. The game was constantly barking at me to crank up the difficulty. Now I am playing above average and that's a real challenge. It is definitely harder, I find I have to wait for the spot where the AI is slow (usually somewhere I can cut a corner) and beat them. I'm still restarting a lot. It is tough, you miss a corner or mess up a little and the pack is gone.
I have done both of those, thank you. I will let you know how it goes.
BTW, they removed the achievement for taking photos of cars

you could do it on the quickness through on your pc or on the app, I'm assuming so on the latter as thats how i get free games with gold games that are usually different in say asia or europe
*note* it worked for me using the app, change the location in the settings then do a search for it, pick the standard version....

Got ALL Horizon 4 Bonus Boards now. Some are very hard to get, but it's possible to get them all in summer season

Took me 6 hours to download but I started playing before that,I could do the demo part over while it downloaded the rest...I am going quality/30fps for now,looks gorgeous.

Anyone having issues with it by getting disconnected (with gamepass)and booted out to the home menu?
I know yesterday there was a small update and if you didn't run it, you were locked out of online events.
Hmmm, wonder if it has anything to do with me downloading it early through the New Zealand store.
I'm the same. Last minute, massive workload dump. I doubt I'll be off before midnight the next two nights getting this done

There's different types of online play.
Forzathon Live is sort of like a Destiny Public event. It'll appear randomly. Head to that location. You'll see ghost cars of real players, but you don't really interact with them. However, as a group you complete 3 events (drifting, jumps, speed traps, etc.) At the end you collect Forzathon points.
Team Adventure is more joining other players in matches of 5 events. There's 3 types of adventures. Racing, Games, and both. Racing is well racing. Games include Flag Rush, Survival and some others. Your team scores points. At the end, you can level and when you reach level 3 you can go into Rank matches. Those have prizes attached. This is going on now and has 20 + days left, then it resets....I guess. You can also do this solo and not team.
If you been playing the game, you also should see you can play any racing event co-op or pvp. I haven't done those, but my guess it just finds others looking at the same race and will join you all.
I've also seen the action prompt come up with others in my session. My guess is you can join there game or maybe challenge them to a race or something.
I hope I've been somewhat clear. I've been doing the Forzathons and Team Adventures (Games). I'm now Ranked in the Game version of Team Adventure. I thought I'd be ranked for any of them, but you have to reach level three in all categories to qualify for rank matches in them.

I’ve been taking as much OT as I can get. It does suck when it cuts into my gaming nights lol.

Are you playing with an Elite controller by any chance? Make sure your trigger locks are off or have changed your trigger settings accordingly.
I'm a bit more like hourly, but treated like salary, lol. It's fine because we are well treated, it balances out, and sometimes the job just has to get done. That and I'm paid really well

What exactly are you having a problem with? Spinning out? AI too fast?
I’m finding it a bit too easy, well at first. Now I leave rewind on, mostly for night races cos some of those checkpoints are tricky to spot
