I hope Dany gets over her lust for power. Jon isn't buying her "bend the knee" jargon, And I applaud him for that. Jon sees the bigger picture but all Dany is worried about having the throne. I hope a dragon accidentally sits on her.

John isn't buying it becajse Jhon doesn't know her, hence all his dialogue in this episode. He will bend the knee. She already showed that she isn't ths mad power hungry tyrant like Cersei by spending all that time in Slavers bay, and not sacking Kingslanding A.S.A.P. Those are not the actions of one fuelled by the lust of power.

Probably depends on when he/they find out who his dad was

Stretching it with some of those plus the not a toy was from the same season

They are moving at such a crazy pace. People are practically teleporting all over Westeros. Which is mostly good except for the Winterfell story line. That story line would only work with more time. Either Arya and Sansa are distrusting each other from the get go for absolutely no reason or Sansa is masterminding a trap for LF.

Not smart to give Cersei time to plan, when was said that Daenerys would have won the war if she attacked and that they now have to work together it only gives Cersei more time to make her plans, and after that she pulled with the Sept.

Another great episode, Gendry returning was awesome. That line up vs the white walkers, it's going to be epic.

So much happened that they revealed that essentially revealed that Jon isn't a bastard and it went kind of under the radar.

It was the final calm before the storm giving bits of detail and so on.

Next week will be the usual "episode 9"

And yeah the little detail about Jon not being a bastard is big.

Team Jon going to f*** up some white walkers. It's almost the Westeros dream team

And can people know stop with this whole Danny is good nonsense now? She's pretty much become her father now with her whole follow me or get burned alive.

Confirmed Jon as another Dragon rider.

And who was the other main character that was about to touch a Dragon ;)

She gave them a choice. Not her fault they are dumb:wink: Not even remotely like her father.

That's what makes the show great- the characters don't follow the cliche white hat/black hat mold. Most characters get into that moral gray area.

Yeah but people try to paint her as some noble white night when in actual fact she's done some bad s*** with fire.

Hell just last episode Missandei is telling Jon and Davos that she let people choose to follow her. Now it's do it or die by fire.

just using spoiler tags for anyone not caught up with last night, nothing beyond last night.

That's why I like the characters. What is the "good" choice for Dany? Sit back and let Cercei rule? Does Cercei's evilness justify Dany's actions? It could be argued that Dany needs to unite the houses around her. Maybe she had better options, but maybe not. I would not call what she did outright evil for sure. There is a logic to it. It is a rebellion and it isn't going to be all moral high ground.

That's what I love about the show. You see Kingslayer charging Dany and most people are a little torn.

My favorite moral dilemma is how everyone hated the Kingslayer for killing the Mad King and breaking his oath, yet the whole time those people are rebelling against that same king. It is hard to avoid hypocrisy even for those like Ned Stark who try to choose the high road every time. Where did the moral high ground get Ned? Without a head and his family scattered and almost destroyed.

Ned wasn't sworn to protect the king and only rebelled against him after he killed Neds father and brother and at the time believed Rhaegar had kidnapped Lyanna.

Neds flaw was not giving Jamie the time to explain the whole burn them all part.
