He also sold his Vita to buy a Wii U, and then in one of the other threads mentioned he already sold off his Wii U. I don't think he specified the timing of when, but given his track record it was traded in to pay for PS4 or X1.

Vita and Wii U were barely a year old and the guy is already dumping them without giving them a chance.

Vita is 2 years old and still waiting a real system seller.

I loved The Last of Us but as far as gameplay goes it wasn't the best. Maybe the best in graphics.

Tomb Raider on console last gen was better than Last of Us. Better gameplay and better graphics. MS needs better GFG games, but I know that they will never satisfy everyone.

Neither am i. I just know what i like and right now that's the Xbox brand. It's delivering on all fronts for me and then some. I have a Wii U. I'll get a PS4. I buy every console every gen because i'm a gamer. There's no flip flopping to it. Simply put, Microsoft is doing the best job out of anyone and if you disagree with that i have to question you or anyone else's agenda.

It's okay to prefer Sony or Nintendo for the exclusives or whatever but at the end of the day Microsoft is the one pushing this industry forward. Microsoft is the one leading. They're the ones innovating at every turn while Sony and Nintendo remain stagnant. Nothing wrong with that approach as long as they keep pumping out the games but make no mistake about it. Microsoft is leading in innovation while the others play catch up.

Wow, Dead Island is much smaller than I anticipated. Thought it'd be 6 GB minimum. Any recommendations before I go balls deep into the game?

A gamer who's been sick of the last generation and moved on and who likes NEWER more state of the art games.

I just can't get sick of the awesome games i still have for my 360. I mean.....GTA V, several other unfinished games that i bought during the sale. This month we'll have Castlevania LoS 2, no the 360 really isn't dead at all yet. My bro and a friend of mine say this too...''with Xbox One now, no way am i ever using my 360 again.'' As if it's a punishment to play on your 360...it almost sounds like that. My bro is beyond tired of the 360 , but how can i be tired when there is still so much to play? And aside from DR3 and Ryse(probably) KI and Forza 5 (not necessarily for me) there really isn;t much on X1 yet that blows games like GTA V out of the water or any of the great unfinished games i have here...sure with the third party games like AC4, NFS and BF4 it becomes a lot more interesting, but there's plenty to play on 360 for me. I can understand though that once you have a next-gen system that you rather only play on that...because it's all so new. But before i truly dive into Xbox One , i want to have finished most, if not all of my games. Since i can't afford X1 anytime soon, i might just succeed. :)

To a certain extent I agree, but I'd be lying if I didn't say getting an X1 and Dead Rising 3 would legit make me put my 360 in the closet for a while.

I have xbox live gold (access to sky go confirms that) but my 360 keeps telling me to upgrade to gold and when I go to get dead island it still quotes the full price at the confirm stage. I've downloaded pretty much every games with gold so far but cant recall if it shows the full price but just doesn't charge!?

On xbox.com, it shows the price but also that it's free for gold members.

I guess the fact I'm only seeing the price may say it all. Check my account section on xbox.com and doesn't show a gold subscription! I recently ran out and activated the 2 weeks you got free with the xb one. I wonder if that's anything to do with it. Strange how I can use sky!

After I finished download Island Dead and Halo Assult games, I now have 2.2gb left.

$5 for Mirrors Edge is pretty slick though.
Sure, can't complain about the price itself. It's damn good and I'd encourage everyone to snap it up. I just have too many games as it is and plan on getting two more this month. After that, I'm putting myself on shut down, with maybe South Park: Stick of Truth being the exception.

Good luck, that's what I said like 10 games ago. It's almost like MS doesn't want me to buy a XB1...

Let's be honest though, if MS ended the 360 the way they did with the original xbox, they'd be getting railed by plenty of folks. Too bad there can't be some kind of mini attachment that you could plug into your X1 via a usb port that could play 360 disc games. At least, that's how I paint the fantasy. Not sure how feasible it is.

I'm not complaining in the least bit, I'm getting to play a sh*t to of good games on the cheap or free. The 360 has a huge user base compared to the OGXB, so like you said, they'd never get away leaving them high and dry. I'm just saying, they just ain't making it easy to make me leave the 360 :)

Well, you guys do know they are making this huge cloud data centers right now & part of the plan is to stream games in the future. Part of that is rumored backwards compatibility. It will simply recognize the Arcade games that you own on your gamertag & if you put your original disc in the Xbox One, you'll have access to that game streaming from their servers. At least that is the rumored plan for now. Then all the other titles they get working on the cloud you can choose to rent or own as well from what I understand. That is probably over a year away, but they already had Halo 5 running on the cloud.

That would be a interesting work around to BC. I'm all for it. I just hope that if they get it up and working, then it would mean day one BC for all future consoles, this is including Sony as well with their streaming plans.

Wasn't an article going round saying BC is just waiting to be switched on via an update on the Xbox One?

I'd take the part of putting an owned disc in the XB1 and having access to it, could care less bout the whole streaming aspect of BC.

Well, those are the rumors of what they are planning. Most of it is to offer the whole back catalog to make money off of again & to put future Xbox One games on the cloud to stream/rent. It's a new business model. They are expanding their data centers in Des Moines, Iowa by $400-700 million dollars & they are going to want to recoup that money. It's supposed to deliver digital content to the whole central U.S. To encourage people to use it I think it would be great if the games you owned could be streamed if they were recognized by your console.
