God Of War PS4 Confirmed by Jaffe

That's from a "troll" tweet. He tweeted shortly after that that it was a God of War ice sculpture for his son's party.
 
can't say I'm super excited anymore after Ascension, even if it was real, but I'll take anything at this point.

What didn't people like about Ascension? I haven't played it yet (or 3) but I do have 1 & 2 (great games) and will eventually get 3 & Ascension, so just curious...
 
We all know its coming. Ascencion was ok but it was just ok. it was so a cash in and you could tell.

it was an ok game but it just felt like such a cash in game to make some money off the GOW name. The game was pretty short and the story was just so so and it did not do anything new game play wise. GOW2 is still the best.

I'm at work, but I saw a bit of the stuff via cellphone twitch and saw that assclown wearing a GoW shirt, so I thought it was a done deal. What a bummer.

I saw something on gaf a second ago about Corey Balrog being on the case, which is awesome news. Also sounds like 2016-17 at the earliest.
 
Corey hinted that it was going to be a remake... He woulden't say anything else at this time.

Remake or reboot?

Two to three years sounds like a long time for a remake.

Yeah that is what I want to know too. Do the same story over again or give Kratos a new enemy? s*** I'd like them to just remake GOW 3 as while good it was not as good as part 2 and to me was not the grand final I think it should have been.

I would not mind a spin off game about his brother while he was in hell I know he was chained up the whole time but they can change that and he could have an arc too. I'd also like to play a game when Kratos was human commending army's. be cool as s*** to commend the army from above give commends then it pulls down on Kratos where you kick ass with army's fighting all around you.

I'd hope for the latter. Either way, that'll probably be when I become a multi-console owner (if I haven't already become one with the WiiU).
 
I'm glad the guy who directed GOW2 is behind the next game, GOW2 was BY FAR the best GOW title IMO.

Only in GOW3 did Kratos do something that pissed me off and made me think that was tasteless and mad him an a******.

It was when you where in Poseidons room and you had to throw his wife who was kidnapped and imprisoned by him into a gear to make a door stay open. that to me went to far as she was begging for her life.
Here is a clip skip to 8.45 to see it. that part really pissed me off and I think it was kind of sick and tasteless as hell.

His Character is constantly in situations where he kills innocents to get orbs as well. He does nothing for any reason beyond his own selfish quest for revenge. He causes immeasurable pain and destruction, and never questions the result of his actions, or has any regard for what it makes him. He is a complete a-hole and far worse than the gods he is wronged by. On top of that, he was hardly a peach before he killed his family in the first place.
