Yeah I'm playing Elden Ring now and so far I don't get the hype at all, this almost seems like something the internet made happen vs people actually wanting the game. A couple of people I work with bought it and two of them already quit playing, a lot of people are unaware of how difficult these games are. It's not a good looking game and the gameplay is very average, I'm still just poking around trying to level up my character a bit so I haven't really started on the story (if there is one) yet but we'll see how things go over the next few days. I may end up putting the game on hold until I get a VRR tv later this year, I'm playing on PS5 which is the most stable out of the consoles right now when it comes to performance and it's still all over the place in the performance mode.

Ubisoft needs to do something about the combat in AC, it never feels fast enough or responsive enough, I don't care if it becomes too "arcadey" it just needs to be more fun. Same with the climbing, it needs to move faster even if it seems less realistic because of it.
Maybe the game just isn’t for you. The hype is real glad I bought it. ER is great.

We'll see, I was frustrated with Demon's Souls remake at first too and eventually loved it but that game also looked a lot better and the performance mode was almost always a locked 60, the performance mode here is all over the place and it looks like it was made for last gen with a couple of minor things added to it. It doesn't help that I played Forbidden west for a month before playing this, the downgrade visually is pretty drastic.

Definitely not as polished as Demon's souls remake. Yeah I played HFW just before as well. That game is just amazing visually.

I'd take a remaster of Max Payne 3 that game was so fun. Loved the multiplayer.
As long as I can skip the cutscenes, lol. First time is fine, but they are so long, subsequent playthroughs are a chore

The last of Us 2, ff7 remake, ghost of Tsushima were better than Valhalla by a tier or two.

Personally FF7 remake was mine.
Ghost of Tushima is faaaar better than Valhalla, imo. Loved the FF7 remake as well. I probably do have more hours than both combined in Valhalla, but that's not because it's a better game

I liked GoT much more than Valhalla as well. I've beat Ghost at like, 3 times but couldn't even force myself to finish valhalla. I don't even remember how far I got but I got quite a ways in thinking "it'll get better soon" and at some point I just accepted that it wouldn't and quit, haha. AC has basically abandoned everything I thought was interesting about it so I think I need to quit fooling myself that it'll ever be a game I enjoy again.

F*** R* in this thread and speaking of FFVII remake why have I not been able to experience it on my XB yet? Patiently waiting over here damn it.

I love how no one gives a crap about this topic.
I care, I'm just scared. I've never put much time into the Online mode until now and I have no clue what I'm doing. I usually get constantly killed, kill myself, or get into cars with others and usually just jump out at high speeds for my own amusement. The game is just so overwhelming starting out and it's just a constant bombardment of pop-ups telling me to go here, do that, come get this, etc.

Really enjoyed IVs online but this one never clicked with me. (Same with RDRs online modes)

I'm surprised they never ported the 360 version to the Switch. It's got the biggest install base, and people would probably double dip for a portable version if they can import their character for multuplayer.
