I went online for the first time today with Grand Theft Auto (I haven't played it for about a month, since completing the campaign) on the Xbox 360 and completed the initial race and from then on in it was a mess, it's safe to say I am officially done with Grand Theft Auto and will only ever go back to play offline; attempting to complete the side missions ext.

The newest automatic title update for GTA Online is now available for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. As mentioned previously, this update addresses some residual issues where occasionally people's vehicles or vehicle modifications were disappearing due to a cloud save failure - as well as the other fixes mentioned below:

  • Built in measures to prevent users from losing their progress when there is a cloud outage
  • Built in a number of measures to protect players’ cash balances even if there are network problems
  • Fixed an issue where on rare occasions during network problems the player could lose their Online vehicle or mods after exiting GTA Online
Of course, if you're still experiencing any other technical problems, please visit our support website to contact our support team and subscribe to the GTA Online Launch Status article. You can also shoot us a quick message at the Rockstar Support Twitter.

We also encourage you to send any constructive gameplay feedback you have to us at our GTAOnline@rockstargames.com address, as we continue to monitor it for all the latest suggestions for tweaking and improving the experience of GTA Online.

On a related note, we anticipate the GTA$ Stimulus to be distributed in the next couple of days following this Title Update. The Stimulus will go out over the course of a full day once it's initiated so don't be alarmed if people on your friends list receive it before or later than you do. Enjoy and we certainly appreciate your patience and understanding as we sort out these remaining issues.

I pretty much had the same experience. Lamar calls me to go to this convenience store because for some reason you need two people to rob the store. When I go in there another player is robbing the store and I walk out with him. The prompt tells me to get in the car with him to split the money. Then we get two police stars. The guy is driving ok for like 15 seconds or so then all of a sudden he starts intentionally crashing the car again and again.

Apparently, he was trying to crash the car in a way that would have thrown my character from the passenger side, but he never gathered up enough speed to do so. So I get out unharmed and we go our separate ways.

I won't be joining a crew so I'm pretty much done.

The Stimulus Package has started going out, Rockstar expect everyone to have their money by Friday. Get spending.

My money! Better be in my bank account when i get home.

Need to buy some sexy super cars. Well, just one at least.

Probably gonna save up a bit more and pick up a Stinger. Need to decide on a car to replace or sell as I've filled my garage. It sucks you can't own multiple garages as there are a ton of cars I'd love to have around.

You can't own multiple garages? But you can own a garage in addition to an apartment that comes with a garage, right?

Almost 100% positive that it's one apartment OR garage at the moment. It sucks too, there's a great variety of vehicles, I'd like to have some of the more silly and fun vehicles modded up and available to me along with my more sensible vehicles.

It's been tough realizing that GTA just isn't my type of game. Unlike gta4, I don't blame the game or design decisions, it's just not for me. What it comes the rockstar, I'll stick with red dead redemption.

I wandered back to Max Payne 3 multiplayer.

character advancement in GTA5 seems to slow. Max Payne gives me fun instant action without using time to organize a heist or something or driving around looking for poor bastard gas station clerks to rob.

Also, there is something odd to me about working hard to earn money for an apartment in a game.

I got my 500K. Will raise up and go for that 1 Mill Bugatti.

I love the online. I see them adding new things every few days. For example now i can send mercenaries after somebody. I don't if this comes as you rank up or are Rockstar just adding these?

Ill definitely play the online for a while it's just my thing.

There has been no new content for the game so far. The ability to send mercs after someone unlocks at around level 40, it's been there since launch.

Still no news on the release date for the Beach Bum pack, or what type of missions it will add. :(

Hmm, I'll have to put some time into Max Payne then. I bought it when it was $10 on live a while ago, but never got around to playing it.

I enjoyed the Campaign.

I like online Multiplayer Deathmatch for quick instant action. I love the weapons and oddly Max Payne seems more violent and bloody than GTA5.

One thing I should mention is that fully enjoying Multiplayer would probably mean getting the whole Season Pass. There is a lot of content you get for that Pass, but some people might be annoyed spending even more money on a game.

I paid for the pass, but afterward have played the game a lot. I feel like I got my moneys worth.

Deathmatch is definitely better in MP3, it's multiplayer is very under rated IMO. I avoid straight forward deathmatches in GTA like the plague, they're just poor. While the shooting mechanics in GTA V are solid enough for a GTA game, they're not great for competitive deathmatch modes. They should have taken a good look at the San Andreas Multiplayer mod on PC, as well as MTA San Andreas. The community has come up with a ton of fun modes that take advantage of type of game GTA is, something Rockstar haven't quite done with GTA V yet. There's some interesting ideas in there like Top Fun and the protect the VIP type modes but other than that there's nothing special. I suspect that the creation tools will improve things a lot when they release them.

You're better off with the Entity. I own both that and the Bugatti. The Entity is just better in very way. It's like a car from tron. It sticks to the ground when you fly around corners.

Mercenaries has been in the game since the start. Just level locked.

I think the multiplayer is alright, but I definitely don't like the crazy snap autoaim in it, and I have to use it to be competitive because most other players do.

Despite not playing online during the issues I got the money pack
Not sure what it ended up being, but I'd think the money should be for everyone that had the game since launch of online. Plenty of people that didn't bother playing online because of the issues, not just people who tried it and had to deal with it, so it's only fair if everyone got it.

If you set it to free aim you should be in matches with other free aim players

Well that was my reason for not playing when it launched.

I still haven't bothered and I'm not sure I will now. I'm focusing on single player so it's hopefully done by PS4 launch.

I've gotten 2.5 million from Rockstar, so I bought a Corquette and pimped it out.
