Played a bit last night with our group of 4, 3 level 22's and a level 12, was able to beat an extreme (level 6) difficulty operation pretty handily. Seems a bit easier now ? Or we just have the more OP weapons unlocked ? I got the Sickle gun now.

It just goes to show how little credibility Steam reviews have.
It's just ridiculous. I have no issue with having to sign into PlayStation on Steam to play a PlayStation game. If that stresses gamers out, get out of gaming.

It should be a non issue really... The same way all the other platforms agree to sign in with their Microsoft account to play a live service XGS game like Sea of Thieves.
Plus it was written there already for all to see.

I can see how it is annoying to create an account though if you don't already have one.

Just a vocal minority throwing a fit. Not a big deal at all.

Do they not need live accounts for Xbox games?

Though doing it a couple months after launch is a dick move.

Wow, the one game in multiple console generations where Sony finally has an online multiplayer game that's fun and popular is being ruined by Sony themselves, lol. I'm starting to notice a trend of corporate crapheads ruining their own products and customer goodwill and its delicious watching the fallout.

I've even seen the statement put out by Arrowhead where they try and distance themselves and blame it all on Sony. Well, after they tried to gaslight the Steam community and dared them to review bomb the game which is exactly what they are doing, bahaha.

And neither Sony or Arrowhead have an answer to the question of "What about the Steam customers who's region doesn't allow PSN to operate in, how are they supposed to access the game once mandatory account merging goes into effect next week?"

I'm starting to believe the conspiracy narrative. That this is a way for Sony to pad PSN numbers to look good for shareholders but curiously Sony doesn't require account merging for Destiny which comes form a studio they own. They just want a stat to brag about when in reality this isn't a Sony developed game and they had no hand in making it or its success. They published it, but I'm willing to bet if Arrowhead had to shop this game around they wouldn't have had much trouble finding a publisher on their own.

Definitely Sony wants to pad out their numbers and certainly they can if they want for one of their own IPs. Not really much of a conspiracy I would say.

While I am not sure what their official answer would be for people outside of PSN regions but "ruined the game" sounds like something someone might say if they hadn't played a video game in 20 years. I have lost count of the amount of extra accounts I have had to sign into to play something.

Gamers being upset about something dumb is nothing new but this might be the dumbest. 99% of the people bitching aren't in a non PSN region and were doing so before they even found out that was even a thing.

I don't think Sony owns this IP. Arrowhead is still indie and Sony published the game giving them some rights.

For the record, I'm not mad. I just find this whole thing to be self inflicting for no reason other than "Greed is Good", haha. But I do feel for the PC gamers with no Playstation and no PSN account being forced to sign-up to PSN after being able to play the game for almost 3 months, or those who don't even have access to PSN in their country. I see loads of ads for VPNs so maybe those gamers without PSN access can get on with one of those services, sucks but what else can they do.
