I was actually considering the C9 for its excellent gaming abilities but been leary from the burn in stories and it being a LG set.So I’ve talked to 2 people in the last couple of weeks who have C9 OLEDs, and have already experienced burn-in.
Has anyone else heard about this?
HDR 10+ is no good...
I'd get the new TCL 6 or 8 series over that TV.Now that I have a One X I'm back to looking at 4k TVs. The Sony 900F or whatever has always been high on the list and the 65" is on sale for $1200 right now. Close enough to Black Friday so may be worth holding off a bit longer I supposed.
Not a bad deal but lol ChinaI'd get the new TCL 6 or 8 series over that TV.
TCL makes there own panels plus....Not a bad deal but lol China
Keep a eye on this threadI’m considering getting a new tv, by the end of this year or early next year to replace my samy ks8000.
It’ll be primarily for gaming, then movies.
Should I wait or any suggestions, preferably under 2k and 65”
on a side note where’s the best place to find Colabaration settings for best picture?

No Dolby Vision though.Last I looked on Rtings the Q70 or 80 was recommended for gaming I think due to better input lag or something.
Is DV going to be the standard going forward..? Do TVs do both 10+ And DV, or do they have to ‘choose’..?No Dolby Vision though.
The Hisense H9F is another option for a low input lag TV.
HDR 10+ is a non factor see the above video I posted. Is DV going to be the standard going forward..? Do TVs do both 10+ And DV, or do they have to ‘choose’..?
^^^ do research on the LG SM9000 that's mentioned above.
I wouldn't even consider it.
Nobody in the know chooses that LG over the Hisense or TCL.You are hyping a brand in Hisense that has a terrible reputation for reliability. All for a few more nits and not much less money. I agree though. Do your research.
LG is NOT on the LCD serious list.People on a budget chase Hisense and TCL. Those who can afford a bit more chase known quantities like Samsung, Sony and LG. The Wirecutter recommended TCL and they had to take that back because hundreds of readers reported problems. Hisense last I checked had a high school level website promoting their TVs. But let me guess people in the know really pick these brands.
