Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition PC

I've got the first game on PS4 and did finish it. I started the 2nd game on PS5 but I bounced off of it a bit as it really goes down the Ubisoft route of giving you too much at once. Plus if I'm being honest, in my older age I'm starting to become somewhat of a snob when it comes to certain things, and it felt like despite how pretty the game is, the devs had to significantly compromise between picture quality and frame rate in the different performance modes. If the PC port is even half decent I believe that the compromises will be gone and this will be the definitive way to play. Its for that reason I might pick this up on PC instead of continuing on the PS5. Same for FF7 Rebirth and FF16.

Bought it. The games may come late, but Nixxes is the best in the porting business. Too bad they are owned by Sony. I would like them to be independent and being the go to company for all PC ports.

They did all the modern Tomb Raider PC ports.

Who cares about the release date? They release it when they want to release it.

Pretty impressive to still manage what was it 7-8 million sales in mid 2023 going up against Elden ring in same time frame. First one has to deal with Breath of the wild too. Also now this PC version needs to deal with dragons Dogma 2 lol

Nah, it doesn't need to deal with DD2. People will just buy the games that want.

I watched the video and I have no idea what that idiot is talking about, he said beyond LOD, AF, AA, and obviously framerate the game didn't offer anything else beyond the PS5 version. Those are all facts. I dont see any desperation from Alex's point of view.
I guess it’s cos he’s coming from it as a technical side, and not from a game being a game.

Sony picking up Nixxes was one of their best acquisitions ever imo.
I just hope they give them time for a fresh breath and let them do their own thing when they have something that they can showcase their own creative talent.

There seems to be a bug when using dual sense controller. It significantly kills the framerate. The devs are aware of the issue. I use m/kb, so I'm good.

Will have to pick this up in a couple of years when it hits GOG and is on sale. I'm about 8 hours into the first now on my PC and it's good, maybe one of my top three Assassins Creed games.

Other companies need to take notice

No bad ports......

Unfortunately they didn't have Nixxes do TLOUp1, even though that was also fixed and is fine, it probably would have arrived in much better shape.

The funny thing is that after Guerilla and their partner studio butchered Horizon Zero Dawn port, Nixxes was employed to fix it and it ended up being good at the end of the day.
